I think your analysis is fair, Mark, but it misses the bigger picture. Yes, Vision Pro is too heavy and too expensive for mass adoption. But that was obvious before Apple even launched it. It's hard to believe Apple didn't know that. With Vision Pro, Apple chose to show us what spatial computing could and should be, using the best technology available in 2023. Rather than compromising on the experience to hit a mass-market price or form factor, Apple prioritized what really matters: computing power, pixel density, field of view, and above all, an entirely new way of interacting with computers through eye tracking, hand gestures and a remarkably intuitive interface. The compromises were weight and price, not the foundations of the experience. Meta's lighter, much cheaper alternative is impressive, but its narrower FOV illustrates the different trade-offs being made. Both products are imperfect, but Apple established a vision of spatial computing that the industry is already building upon. And there's another use case that's largely overlooked: immersive video. I co-founded Immersive Flashback in early 2025, a French studio dedicated exclusively to Apple Immersive Video. In less than two years, we've produced around 15 immersive films for clients ranging from major names like Accor and Live Nation to smaller businesses finding real value in this new medium. We've filmed President Macron during France's Bastille Day parade, brought international journalists into the world of a prestigious luxury house, and transported wine lovers into the vineyards of Saint-Émilion. And these are just a few examples of what's already becoming a real market. 2,000 people experienced our Macron film in just two days. I've rarely witnessed such a universal emotional response to technology, regardless of age or technical background. People aren't just impressed. They're genuinely moved. And this isn't experimental anymore. We've built a revenue-generating business entirely around Apple Immersive Video, invested in professional production equipment, and done it all without raising a single dollar. By defining Apple Immersive Video and partnering with Blackmagic to develop professional production tools, Apple has laid the foundations for an entirely new filmmaking industry, finally moving immersive storytelling beyond the underwhelming VR experiments of the past decade. Vision Pro is imperfect, like every first-generation product. But as devices become lighter and more affordable without sacrificing the fundamentals of the experience, the ecosystem will already be there. Vision Pro isn't the destination. It's the foundation. And immersive video is already proving that this foundation can support real businesses, even before the mass market arrives.

Deux productions françaises qui ouvrent le bal de ce format révolutionnaire : de quoi rendre fière l’industrie créative de notre pays.
