privacy vs liquidity used to be a trap.
banks need confidential flows. public chains need shared pools.
monad private settlement is just: keep your secrets, keep the liquidity.
no sidechain exile.
dolev-strong sat at O(n³) since 1983 and catlabs just walked in and made it near-quadratic.
dad keeps saying monad is research that ships, and this is the receipt
Wow, here is a substantial advancement in theoretical consensus research from @komasito55 (of @category_xyz), @ElodinStorm and Ling Ren!
It resolves a long-standing open question and improves on the previous-best O(n^3) communication complexity of the Dolev-Strong algorithm published in 1983. The new algorithm is near-quadratic while tolerating any number of faulty participants below the total
Category Labs is making fundamental research progress as they continue to improve Monad through exceptional pragmatic algorithm engineering
points 2 and 3 look like they fight but they don't.
transparent ledger for the market, privacy for the individual.
private domains plugged into public liquidity is on monad's roadmap for exactly this.
can a chain actually do both without picking a side? yes Monad
It’s both, or all 3 or 4 aspects of crypto are important.
1) SoV matters because the world is unstable and there is a non zero chance that the local superpower falls apart. bitcoin matters
2) privacy matters because technology improvements increase the power of the state more than the individual
3) “blockchain” matters, because fully on chain transparent ledgers of everything that happens in the markets you are operating in reduce a bunch of risks, aka archegos/knight capital. Putting everything onchain is good for markets
4) smart contracts matter because 3 and 2 and 1 require a bunch of innovation that we can’t predict. Can’t build 1 and 2 without censorship resistance, pita to build 3 without programmability

alpenglow going live with no restart is a real engineering flex, respect to anza.
sub-second finality is table stakes now.
so the next race is fairness: who stops speed from just meaning faster front-running?

swapping consensus on a live chain is a great headline.
monad's roadmap goes after the next layer, encrypted mempools so speed doesn't just feed mev.
does alpenglow change the mev game on sol at all?

fair launches on monad with lp locked forever, sells that can't be paused and anti-snipe tax that gets burned.
@dokufamily is building the launchpad i'd actually trust. check it

Mako Market publishes its platform stats live, so anyone can see how we're performing at any time.
You don't have to take our word for it.

we built a commit-reveal trading-agent arena on monad and lesson one was agents front-run each other the second they can see intent.
agentic commerce needs that protection baked in.
spend caps are easy, what about fair ordering?
Mastercard is now helping agents pay for digital services.
Coinbase provides the agentic payments infrastructure to power each @Mastercard agent using @Cloudflare. Powered by x402 and the Coinbase facilitator.
If you’re building in agentic commerce, let’s talk.

Replying to @Idan01
same lesson here. our agents seal the call before the outcome, then the market grades it. monad testnet

Fake airdrop checkers and the sorts are always abundant, and most people don't know if a link is real until it's too late.
That's why we built Sentinel. You report it, 2 of 3 reviewers check it, and everyone gets a clear alert on what to do.
Proud to be one of the reviewers. My 2 brain cells are officially on duty. 🙂

nfts as identity and access beat nfts as jpegs.
cheap mints plus fast blocks means they can finally be game items, tickets and receipts, not just collectibles.

In the US, a stablecoin looks like the default cash leg for tokenized stocks.
A US venue owned by @okx and @ICE_Markets published its first notice on 4 October. It lists 63 stocks. "Each Tokenized NMS Stock will be paired with a payment stablecoin," it says.
The rules left room for other pairs. The SEC's 17 September exemption also allows stock-for-stock pools and pools against a tokenized money market fund.
So the stablecoin pair was a choice. ICE runs the @NYSE. The joint venue still picked a stablecoin for every pool.
Offshore, the pattern differs. @RobinhoodApp's Stock Tokens are not offered in the US. On Robinhood Chain, new tokens began to trade against them.
The onshore lane starts small. A Tier 1 venue's volume in a stock cannot exceed 0.25% of that stock's average daily share volume in the prior month.
Robinhood's Johann Kerbrat told @TheBlockCo at @kbwofficial that its Stock Token volume "will hit some of its limits." He may be right that offshore venues set the habits for now.
Excited to see these pools start trading.
On Robinhood Chain, some new tokens are now priced in a tokenized stock rather than a stablecoin.
Robinhood launched the chain's public mainnet and its Stock Tokens on 1 July, in more than 120 countries and not to US persons, and said the tokens could be deployed into lending pools and used as trading collateral across DeFi. As of 4 September, @RWA_xyz counts 189 Robinhood stock tokens worth $103.2M onchain, sixth by value on its platform table, inside $2.77B of distributed tokenized stock value, up 11.9% in 30 days.
Crypto-native builders took it somewhere else. Launchpads on the chain let anyone deploy a token and open a pool for it, and since mid-July several have priced the new token in a stock token instead of ETH or a dollar stablecoin. PANews on 1 September dates Long.xyz to 14 July and Bankr to 20 July, with Pons following, and describes the change as stock tokens replacing ETH, SOL or USDC as the quote and liquidity asset. PAIR's 31 August release goes further, pairing a new token from its first block with a basket of up to five Robinhood stock tokens.
The first stress is already on record. defiprime's 31 August write-up has onchain HIMS printing $61.15 over a weekend against a Friday NYSE close of $28.84, because new tokens are only minted when the stock market is open and a memecoin pool had absorbed most of the float.
Before I look at anything else in a pool, I check what it is quoted in, because that is the asset the whole market ends up holding. Worth watching whether the 189 stock tokens on @RWA_xyz's count become the quote asset for more than the launchpad tokens.
