On November 2nd, @YasminKidwai shared this clip from her documentary Filmisthaan: The Euphoric State of Bollywood. Within 24 hours, it had over 1 million views, thousands of shares, and 5,000+ comments celebrating secularism and harmony.
Then @Meta removed it without warning, claiming that a message of unity "disturbs peace." A message celebrating India's pluralism is labeled "dangerous," while hate speech runs unchecked every single day.
The Ministry of External Affairs commissioned this film. Meta took it down. What was it protecting us from: the Constitution? If this is the algorithm at work, it's broken. If it's political appeasement, that's worse.
