It always boggles my mind to see how many people spend more time fixated on the people they hate, then the people they love.
It is only a matter of time until a fancy restaurant serves you a soup made with carbonated broth & humanity will have no one to blame but ourselves

I think it's time we admit that a cashier trying to make the smallest of conversation isn't the rude one but the customer assuming the worst about them and (and sometimes being rude "in return") is actually the antisocial one.
Maybe it's just a midwestern thing, but can we please stop having the cashiers ask intrusive questions to the patrons as they check out?
Cashier: "Do you have any big plans for the rest of the evening?"
Me in my head because I'm polite:
"I don't know you, I'm not sharing my plans for the rest of the evening with you, but I bet you could make an educated guess what my big plans are based on my purchase of ice cream and a bottle of wine."
Me in real life: "Nope, no big plans."
