A new study reveals the human yolk sac stands in for organs such as the liver and kidneys that arise later in development. scim.ag/3LY
This YS study follows on from our previous studies on fetal liver (go.nature.com/3P2aKh1) and bone marrow haematopoiesis (go.nature.com/45ttag2), which we hope can jointly shed light on how we lay the foundations of life-long haematopoiesis.
