What's your favorite generation of the BMW M5?
There are no wrong answers, but there's nothing quite like the original stealthy sports sedan from Munich. And it just so happens that we have one up for auction right now on Hagerty Marketplace 👀

Now that the dust has settled on the Tesla Roadster, where does it stand?
The extravagant launch event has left everyone with plenty of questions. Possibly even more than we started with.
All we can really surmise is that something that looked like a car flew, hovered, kick-flipped, however you want to label it. But that aerobatic PR stunt also overshadowed something pretty extraordinary; the "normal" Roadster.
No, it's not the car we saw in 2017, as the world that car would have been born into changed so drastically, that the very ethos of it had to be reconfigured. And that new configuration is something properly impressive, even without needing FAA clearance.
If you want to learn more about the car that will actually be on the road, @HenryCatchpole interviewed Tesla's VP of Vehicle Engineering, Lars Moravy, and got all the details on the latest edition of The Driver's Seat.

Monolithic slabs of pixels are everywhere in the car world, with "screen size" a major selling point in many market segments.
Alfa Romeo isn’t interested in joining this race. “Let’s get rid of the screens,” said Alfa Romeo design boss Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos.

Is this the ultimate overlanding rig?
The title would be fitting, because this is the Overland Expo's 2026 Ultimate Build. A Nissan Frontier PRO-4X fitted with all the aftermarket bells and whistles you could ask for on a trip into the middle of nowhere.
Assembled by Alldogs Offroad Coop as a one-off collaborative project with the Overland Expo, their Ultimate Build series showcases a new build each year with all the latest adventuring goodies, and then gets auctioned off to the public for charity.
On this edition of Short Shift, we spent a few days with this truck to get the full experience of living with (and living in) a rig like this, so let's see how it was.
Sometimes breaking your project car is the impetus to complete it.
That's basically what happened with our DIY Guy, Kyle Smith, and his recent track day tribulations in his modified C4 Corvette. Next up, suspension, steering, and brakes!

We drove the Porsche 550J, and found a bucket of fun in a tiny package.
Whas is the 500J? An official collaboration between Porsche and Britain’s Hedley Studios, which could potentially fit the bill as a neighborhood electric vehicle (NEV).

Castagna Milano's one-off roadster is a looker, and it's based on a sedan!
There's a Giulia Quadrifoglio at the heart of this creation, which is powered by a twin-turbocharged, 2.9-liter V-6. Castagna Milano promises the carbon-fiber body panels help lower weight to around 3130 pounds from about 3570 pounds.

Can a simluated manual be as good as the real thing?
Today we find out. On the latest edition of @JasonCammisa on the ICONS, the Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale is the star of the show.
After years of pleading from enthusiasts, Maranello has finally given everyone what they want: a proper six-speed manual, three-pedal, naturally aspirated V-12 Ferrari. But there’s a catch.
That shifter and that clutch pedal are connected to nothing more than some wiring. Behind the driver sits the same eight-speed dual-clutch automatic found in the traditional 12Cilindri, and the driver’s new controls allow you to fully emulate the experience of a proper manual transmission, and switch over to a traditional automatic at the push of a button.
The question is, is this simply a rose-tinted cost saving gimmick? Or is it the best way to finally combine all the best qualities of both transmissions, with none of the downsides?

"Fact is, there are far more bad car movies to choose from than good ones."
We agree with Jay Leno's assessment of automotive culture on the silver screen, but we also agree that sometimes it's fun to watch these so-called "bad-car-movies."

Shortly after its Top Gear debut, carmaker Zenos shut down operations.
Almost a decade later, there’s good news, as Clarkson would say, because the brand is back and reviving the Zenos E10 with “a raft of enhancements,” while a deal with Lotus will see the cars built at the Hethel Performance Hub. Deliveries begin in 2027.
