🇺🇦 The war in Ukraine has affected the well-being of five million school-age children.
GPE and partners are training Ukrainian teachers to act as first responders to this mental health crisis, providing psychological support and school safety.

The training was made possible thanks to a GPE Multiplier grant of $25.5 million, which matched a total of $25.5 million in cash and in-kind support from Microsoft, Google and @UNESCO, totaling $51 million in education assistance.

🇺🇳🇺🇿 The early years matter most! Uzbekistan’s ambitious reforms and sustained investment have tripled preschool enrolment coverage in recent years and scaled up inclusive education. At Inclusive Pre-school Hub #67 in Samarkand, UNICEF Regional Director of #ECAMENA @E_Beigbeder saw one of the country’s first models of inclusive preschools, where children of all abilities learn and play together - thanks to skilled teachers and @UNICEF_UZB partnership with @isdb_group, @GPforEducation, @arabcoordgroup.

The Ministry of Education, together with its partners @WB_Rwanda @GPforEducation, @unicefrw and @FCDOGovUK, visited schools in @Nyarugenge and @Gicumbi_Rwanda to assess progress in strengthening education through improved infrastructure, including classrooms and laboratories, teacher training, and other facilities that enhance the learning environment.
In collaboration with local leaders in Gicumbi, the team also planted trees to promote environmental sustainability and create greener, healthier learning environments.
From memorizing letters to exploring the world through play, preschools in Nepal are undergoing a remarkable transformation.
