Since everyone’s talking about the death of organic acquisition, here’s what I think most SaaS founders are missing: The problem isn’t just that Google is sending fewer clicks. It’s that the economics of acquiring a customer are changing. A few things I’ve been thinking about: 1. Traffic declines don’t always mean revenue declines. Losing 40% of your informational traffic matters a lot less if your high-intent pages are still generating pipeline. 2. AI citations aren’t the finish line. Sure, getting mentioned by ChatGPT is valuable. But being cited, being recommended & being chosen are 3 very different outcomes. 3. Don’t treat Reddit, X, or YouTube as your next keyword farm. The goal isn’t to publish everywhere AI looks. It’s to create content worth finding, discussing & recommending. 4. Brand demand is built before the search. A buyer sees your founder on LinkedIn, watches a product breakdown on YouTube, reads a Reddit discussion & eventually Googles your company. SEO gets the credit, but distribution created the demand. 5. One strong original content asset has several distribution opportunities. It can become a YouTube video, an X article, a LinkedIn post, a community discussion & more chances to earn third-party mentions. 6. Your attribution is probably missing half the journey. If you’re measuring distribution solely by last-click conversions, you’re likely undervaluing the channels influencing purchase decisions. I strongly believe that SEO isn't dead, far from it. But publishing content, ranking on Google & expecting traffic to do all the work are getting harder. The next era of SaaS growth belongs to companies that don’t just create content. They know how to distribute it forever.
SaaS acquisition has drastically shifted a few thoughts on how to navigate this: organic traffic from Google goes to zero but you need SEO to get mentioned by AI UGC content and influencer marketing are more important than ever, pay influencers if you can product needs to be incredibly good people's tolerance for bugs is going to zero branding matters more than ever go stand for something be where the AI goes: - Reddit - X articles - blog listicles ngl, it's tough but you can make it

Could autonomous vehicles be the next frontier for media buying and advertising?

Content shouldn't live and die on the platform where its originally published. One blog post should become a: > LinkedIn update > YouTube video > Podcast episode > Visual graphic > Instagram post > And so much more.. Embrace repurposing. Embrace remixing. Embrace distribution.

Friendly Reminder: Content marketing doesn't work without distribution.

The future of SEO is being questioned. ↠ With sites deindexed ↠ Media sites traffic evaporation ↠ Subreddits about search console being trap But it’s all a panic button. SEO is not a get rich quick fad. It’s a long term investment.

The most common excuses for no distribution: -> We're not ready -> We don't have time -> We are so heads down -> We don't know where to start -> We're busy building & creating The most common excuse for failure: -> Lack of distribution

Distribution isn’t an afterthought. It’s the growth engine. If you don’t have a system for distributing and amplifying your best insights across multiple platforms, you’re just adding to the noise instead of cutting through it.

Psychology 101: People take credit for positive outcomes but blame failure on external factors. It's called self-serving bias. & it's a powerful marketing tool. In your content, justify your prospect's mishaps & encourage their dreams. Empathy is the driving force of sales.

Smart marketers are realizing that you can sprinkle AI on top of everything but if you're not dosing it with human ingenuity... You're going to blend in.

One of the most overused (and bad) pieces of advice given by marketing gurus is: “Content is king. Just create content and the work will take care of itself...” Very bad advice. I’ve learned: You need to know your audience. How to create great content & embrace distribution.
