Binance Hack: Firelight's contracts and vault are operating normally, and no user funds are at risk. We are actively monitoring exposure across all our strategies, and we’ll let you know right away if anything changes.
We continue to monitor the situation, currently no Firelight funds are at risk and all vaults covered by Firelight are functioning as normal

Firelight stakers back cover that is defined, priced and capped: named events, established venues, fixed terms, and a First-Loss Buffer ahead of staker capital. Here’s how that compares with other models. 🔽

Firelight's stXRP vault has a ceiling, and it's written into the contract: 60.168M FXRP. At 7:32 AM CT, 43.03M was staked. The contract's own maxDeposit read: 17.14M of room left. This morning Firelight showed the easy way in: one signature from your XRPL wallet via Flare Smart Accounts. Under the hood, FAssets mints FXRP 1:1 for your XRP, Flare's Data Connector verifies the XRPL payment, the FXRP is staked, and stXRP lands in your smart account. Two things from the code: If a cover incident is open (this period or last), the vault is paused, or your address is blocklisted, maxDeposit drops to zero. No new money walks in mid-claim. An admin role sets the cap, and it can move. Easier entry doesn't change the deal. Past the first-loss buffer, stakers get slashed pro-rata. Cover isn't insurance. FAssets and Smart Accounts add their own risks. 144.0M FXRP exists. The vault has room for about 12% more of it. Would you stake through Smart Accounts, or mint FXRP yourself first?

Here’s how @FlareNetworks makes this possible: XRP is minted as FXRP on Flare through FAssets, with the Flare Data Connector verifying the XRPL transaction. That FXRP can then be staked in Firelight, where it provides shared capital backing cover for DeFi protocols. Kraken’s USDC vault is now one of the products benefiting from this. @Firelightfi manages the coverage terms, pricing and limits onchain. If a covered incident results in losses, an independent validation process can trigger stablecoin payouts backed by the protocol’s capital. And with Flare Smart Accounts, users can even initiate the minting and staking process directly from an XRPL wallet.
Kraken's Protected Strategies USDC vault now carries onchain cover from Firelight, backed by XRP staked on Flare. Kraken vaults have drawn more than $800 million in deposits since launching in January. @FlareNetworks

XRP yield coming to new venues is gaining attention. Flare Smart Accounts are the distribution layer that brings Flare's XRPFi opportunities into wallets as one-click flows. @HugoPhilion explains how, with @CoinDesk. Full interview on YouTube ↓ youtube.com/watch?v=nudFi22F…

To be extra clear: I think people are seriously underestimating what’s happening behind the scenes on Flare. XRP holders can now earn yield by providing capital that protects DeFi products operating on other chains. That market barely existed for XRP until recently. @Firelightfi is making this possible with Flare’s FAssets and native data protocols providing the infrastructure underneath.
I think one of the most overlooked opportunities for XRP is its potential to serve markets well beyond its own ecosystem. We’re already seeing FXRP staked on Flare backing risk coverage for a USDC vault on Ethereum. The users don’t need to hold XRP, and the products being covered don’t even need to operate on Flare directly. Think about what happens if more protocols, vaults and financial platforms across different chains start paying for this kind of protection.

Firelight uses Flare's infrastructure to bring XRP into DeFi and put it to work as capital backing protocol cover. FDC supports the verification of XRP transactions, FAssets makes that capital available as FXRP, and FTSO supplies pricing data on Flare used by Firelight's contracts. The resulting cover can protect DeFi vaults operating on other blockchains

Hugo covered one of the ways. The XRPFi site has the rest. Mint FXRP, borrow against it, put it into vaults, or start from your XRPL wallet with Smart Accounts ↓ xrpfi.flare.network/defi
Wondering how XRP gets yield? @HugoPhilion explains one of the ways XRP gets there, live with @CoinDesk at @RippleSwell. Full interview on YouTube ↓ youtube.com/watch?v=nudFi22F…

Deposit into Firelight with just XRP through @FlareNetworks Smart Accounts. Here are the steps: One signature from your XRPL wallet → FXRP minted 1:1 on Flare → staked into the Firelight Vault → stXRP credited to your smart account. fsa.flare.network/vaults

Firelight's building the protection layer for DeFi, with transparent, verifiable terms, designed to cover defined protocol failures. @HugoPhilion dives into how XRP can be put to work with @CoinDesk.
At @RippleSwell, @HugoPhilion sat down with @CoinDesk live. We explored XRP's next chapter in credit, from Flare Smart Accounts to Flare enabling XRP-backed borrowing and cover through @Morpho and @Firelightfi. Watch the full segment youtube.com/watch?v=nudFi22F…

This is why @Firelightfi is important. Having coverage matters
I’m not a fan of the “every catastrophe is an opportunity” sermon. 🙄 If your strategic vision arrives after somebody else gets wrecked, perhaps it’s just a content calendar. The best thing to do in moments like this is remain humble and recognize just how much we still need to upgrade our on-chain infrastructure. 🛠️ But the activity following the Binance hack reinforces why we built Firelight: on-chain protection needs to exist before the panic. 🔥 During the on-chain chaos, @SentoraHQ’s protected vaults and @FirelightFi performed exceptionally well, demonstrating the value of infrastructure designed for precisely these moments. 🛡️ In interconnected markets, losses can travel. So can fear. 🌊 Protection against covered losses can help preserve confidence when everyone is suddenly reassessing what “safe” means. DeFi needs more than attractive yields and emergency group chats. It needs capital prepared to absorb shocks. 💪 Ideally, before somebody writes the inspirational post about the opportunity. 😉
