📢 Important Payment Update | Save the Dates! Jamaica’s financial sector is transitioning towards greater use of electronic payments, and important changes to cheque and ACH transactions will begin on September 1, 2026. From this date, cheques valued at J$1 million or more will no longer be accepted for clearing, while non-RTGS ACH transactions of J$1 million or more will be required to be processed through RTGS. The cheque limit will continue to decrease in phases until March 1, 2028, when cheques will be fully phased out.
