Wall Street Is Bringing Bank Deposits to Ethereum JPMorgan Chase is expanding JPM Coin to Ethereum mainnet, bringing its bank-backed digital dollar to institutional clients Why this matters for $ETH: • Real financial infrastructure: JPM Coin represents actual bank deposits, enabling near-instant, 24/7 transfers and settlements • Ethereum adoption: Bringing JPM Coin to Ethereum extends the network’s role in traditional financial infrastructure and institutional settlement • Institutional demand: More financial institutions using Ethereum could strengthen its position as a settlement layer for tokenized assets and digital money JPM Coin first launched on Base in 2025. It operates through JPMorgan’s Kinexys platform and is permissioned, not a publicly traded or decentralized stablecoin Ethereum’s opportunity goes beyond DeFi. If major banks increasingly use ETH infrastructure to move money and settle transactions, the network could become a critical bridge between traditional finance and onchain markets

🚨 Ethereum Gains Another Major TradFi Gateway Charles Schwab, which manages $13.33T in client assets across 40.3M active brokerage accounts, has launched direct Bitcoin and Ethereum trading for eligible retail clients. Here's why it matters for $ETH: • Massive distribution: Schwab gives millions of traditional investors a new way to access ETH. • More institutional integration: Crypto is becoming part of mainstream brokerage services, rather than remaining limited to crypto-native platforms. • More assets coming: Schwab plans to add Solana, Avalanche, and Chainlink trading by the end of 2026. ETH trading fees are set at 0.75%. Schwab is also gradually expanding crypto transfers in and out, with ETH transfers supported on the Ethereum network. Ethereum continues to gain access to traditional financial infrastructure. Schwab's scale could help bring ETH closer to mainstream investors, although actual adoption and capital inflows will determine the impact.

Whales are unwinding shorts into this dump, not stacking more short. $ETH is at a make-or-break level. If the Whale vs Retail Delta flips back green, the trend likely flips with it.

Standard Chartered Opens ETH Trading to UAE Wealthy Clients 🇦🇪 Traditional finance continues to move closer to Ethereum. Standard Chartered has received approval from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) to offer crypto trading services to professional investors in the UAE. Eligible affluent clients can now buy and sell $ETH and $BTC directly through their existing bank accounts, without setting up separate wallets or using third-party platforms. Why does this matter for Ethereum? • Easier access: Wealthy clients can gain ETH exposure through an established banking relationship. • Institutional adoption: Regulated banking services help bridge traditional finance and crypto markets. • Broader distribution: Banks can make ETH more accessible to investors who prefer familiar financial infrastructure. This is another step toward integrating Ethereum into traditional finance, although the service is currently limited to eligible professional investors. As regulated access expands, ETH’s role in the financial system could grow beyond its native crypto audience.

ENSv2 Makes Ethereum Easier to Use and More Decentralized .@ensdomains is a core piece of Ethereum infrastructure that replaces long wallet addresses with simple names like vitalik.eth, making crypto easier to use Why does the ENSv2 proposal matter? • Better usability: Makes Ethereum more accessible to everyday users by simplifying payments and digital identity • Stronger infrastructure: Introduces a hierarchical naming system, giving users more control over subnames and permissions • No forced migration: Existing .eth names keep working, with no migration deadline • More decentralization: Transfers remaining ENSv2 control to the ENS DAO, strengthening community governance • Built on Ethereum: ENSv2 is planned for Ethereum mainnet instead of a separate Namechain L2 The bigger picture: Ethereum needs more than scaling. It needs simple, reliable infrastructure that helps bring mainstream users on-chain. ENSv2 is a step toward that future

Ethereum vs TRON: Who Has the Better Post-Quantum Strategy? Quantum computing isn't an immediate threat to crypto, but preparing for it could become one of the biggest long-term security challenges for blockchain networks TRON is moving fast, with post-quantum signatures live on its Nile testnet and a claim that mainnet deployment can happen whenever needed Ethereum is taking a broader approach. Its dedicated post-quantum security team is targeting full protocol-level quantum resistance by the end of 2029, covering execution, consensus, and data availability The difference matters: • TRON prioritizes speed: Get quantum-resistant signatures ready for deployment early • Ethereum prioritizes long-term resilience: Upgrade the entire protocol and explore gradual account migration, avoiding a disruptive network-wide transition Ethereum's approach looks more robust for the long term. Protecting user signatures is only one part of the problem. Validator signatures, data commitments, and safe migration paths matter too TRON could get there sooner, but Ethereum is planning for a deeper transformation The real test isn't who announces quantum readiness first. It's who can protect users and existing assets without compromising security or disrupting the ecosystem
TRON's post-quantum cryptography is now live on testnet. We're closely tracking progress in quantum computing and AI, and we're ready to bring quantum resistance to mainnet at any time. We're committed to keeping user assets secure, and TRON is set to be one of the few major blockchains that is quantum-resistant before Q-Day. $TRX

BitMine is About to Stop Buying ethereum:native. What Happens Next? BitMine is nearing its 5% ethereum:native ownership cap and Tom Lee says the company will stop accumulating once it gets there. That matters because BitMine has been a consistent ethereum:native buyer since June 2025. But I don't think this is automatically bearish for ethereum:native. The main impact is simple: ethereum:native loses a predictable buyer. Recent BitMine purchases were around 15K ethereum:native/week, roughly $40M of demand at current prices. Once the buying stops, that recurring bid disappears. Then comes the interesting part. BitMine plans to keep its ethereum:native staked and sell the staking rewards, rather than sell its core holdings. With ~5.07M ethereum:native already staked, that could mean roughly 2,500 ethereum:native of rewards per week being sold at current yields. So the flow changes from: ~15K ethereum:native/week bought → ~2.5K ethereum:native/week sold That's clearly less supportive for ethereum:native in the short term. But the selling is tiny compared with BitMine's ~6M ethereum:native treasury and the overall ETH market. So I see this as a mild negative for ETH's marginal demand, not a major bearish catalyst. When BitMine stops buying, will ETFs, institutions and other ETH treasuries replace that missing demand?

Ethereum Is Killing the L2 Boom by Fixing Itself Blast, Abstract, Polygon zkEVM, Loopring, Zero, Mint, Swellchain, Sophon and others are shutting down or winding down in 2026. The common problem? The economics no longer work. As Ethereum becomes cheaper, faster and more scalable, many standalone L2s lose the main reason they existed: providing cheaper blockspace and reducing Ethereum’s limitations. This is the part the market is missing. Ethereum is fixing the weaknesses that created the L2 boom in the first place. Cheaper data availability reduces L2 operating costs, while better throughput and infrastructure make it less necessary for every app, wallet, NFT ecosystem or payment product to launch its own chain. So L2 shutdowns don't necessarily mean Ethereum is losing. They can mean the opposite: Ethereum is becoming strong enough that fewer L2s are needed to support it. The next phase may not be a world of hundreds of Ethereum L2s. It may be a smaller number of dominant networks, with Ethereum itself becoming increasingly capable of handling more of the activity.
