I'm glad we are doing this! Let us know if you had a cancelled GHC registration and want to come to re:Invent!
Replying to @kdaigle
Kyle, this is a classy move. Thanks for doing this!
AWS re:Invent isn't at the same time or area, but we're setting aside 100 complimentary passes for folks with cancelled GHC registrations. While re:Invent isn't a replacement for GHC, I also hope that it will give folks a chance to connect Nov 30-Dec 4th, in Las Vegas. Please email [email protected]

Don't Forget we are doing an X Space today on the new AWS Lambda Web Functions. Join @ASpittel (host), @julian_wood, @samrat_karak, and myself as we get in to the nitty gritty of it! 10 AM PT, right here on X!
I'm glad we came out with this feature!
Local sandboxing is now generally available in Kiro IDE and CLI.
Agent-run commands can now get scoped file and network access when they run locally.
macOS, Linux, and Windows.

Many developers run @kirodotdev's agent directly on their local machine so it can see the same filesystem, toolchain, and localhost services they do. That's what makes it effective for building and testing real projects. Today, developers manage that risk by reviewing every command before approving it. As agents take on longer tasks and developers run more sessions in parallel, that attention becomes the bottleneck.
Local sandboxing changes the trust model: even after a command is approved, the operating system still limits what it can read and write on your machine, and which network destinations it can reach. The agent still runs natively on your machine, but the commands it executes are restricted by the kernel. You can turn sandboxing on or off mid-session without restarting.

I was trying out Opus 5.5 that just came out on Kiro. Within a few prompts I recreated my favorite MP3 player back in the day! With a few themes! It even saves to Index db your playlists.
Kiro is giving away up to 5,250 credits for working through 7 lessons and showing them off in one project! 🎓

Serverless is great until your workflow runs long and has many steps. @ErikCH's talk on durable executions at @CommitYourCode showed how to be more efficient on AWS without sacrificing what you want to build. It was so helpful for me!! #CYC2026

Prompt caching only discounts input tokens. Map where an AI agent can cache and add semantic and reasoning caches that cut agent costs up to 85%
