Dolores Huerta dedicated her life to fighting for working people, advancing civil rights, and demanding a more just and equal nation. Her courage and commitment to organizing changed our country and inspired generations to carry the fight forward.
Her words, “Sí, se puede,” will endure as a reminder that progress is possible when people come together to demand change.
Especially in this difficult time for our nation, may we honor her legacy by - together - continuing the work to which she devoted her life. My deepest condolences to her family and all those who loved her as much as I did.
To the brave students of North Carolina A&T: I want you to know that I see you. We see you. And I am damn proud. You are carrying on the legacy of John Lewis, of Diane Nash, of Dr. King. You are exemplifying what it means to fight for our democracy. Keep showing up. Keep participating. Keep voting. Keep fighting. #ncat #NorthCarolina
To the media: stand up, be strong. Do NOT capitulate. Support CNN, MSNOW and Politico. If you stay together you will win and a core tenet of our system - the First Amendment - will be protected.
Man up.
Texas Republicans have decided to close 92 polling sites ahead of the midterm elections. That’s roughly a 30% reduction of places Texans can go to vote. Republicans are doing everything they can to make it harder for Texans - and Americans everywhere - to exercise their right to vote.
I’m proud to endorse @JenaGriswold for Colorado Attorney General. Jena has a proven track record protecting Coloradans’ rights. She has also fought back against the Trump administration and will continue to do both if elected. I have proudly worked with her for years - I know that Jena is determined, unafraid and is a person of great vision. At this critical time for our nation she is the right person for Attorney General. Colorado: Vote for Jena Griswold!
June 11, 1963. My late sister in law - Vivian Malone - with the help of the Department of Justice and President Kennedy integrated the University of Alabama. The Governor of the state, George Wallace, stood in the school house door to prevent her from enrolling. The use of State power to trample on the rights of black Americans. In 2026 this resurgent movement by southern Republicans is both historically familiar and alarming.
Vivian fought.
She went on to become the first black graduate of the University of Alabama. If one young, courageous woman can stand up to, and beat, the forces grounded in race, who are we today to resign ourselves to failure, to acquiescence?
To honor my beloved Vivian - and so many others - we fight. We’ll win if we do. Evil and hate are not as strong as righteousness and determination.
We can do this!
Doing nothing - or capitulating - while Trump destroys our democracy is not an option. We will not sit idly by.
That’s what tomorrow’s Virginia referendum is all about: meeting this democracy threat head-on with a TEMPORARY, voter-approved measure that levels the national playing field ahead of the midterms.
Tomorrow is Election Day Virginia, if you haven’t already, get out and VOTE tomorrow!
Virginia: Don’t be fooled by these deceptive, disgraceful, and deeply racist ads. What they are doing is an old trick with a dark history.
I believe we—the people—have the power—and we need to use it.
Make a plan to vote YES. Early voting ends this Saturday 4/18. Election Day is Tuesday 4/21.

Speaker Pelosi is a truly historic figure. Her record of accomplishment as Speaker is unparalleled.
And she’s as compassionate as she is tough.
Nancy Pelosi is the GOAT - she will be missed by the nation.
Tell them why you haven’t voted yet or why you are not voting on Election Day.
They sacrificed and marched so you could vote.
It’s not too late. No excuses. Vote

A lot going on right now, but I have a feeling we will look back in a year and realize this was the most important story published this week. nytimes.com/2025/10/22/us/po…
