Uh-huh. It wasn't until 1982 when SCOTUS said that child porn was not protected as free speech and could in fact be regulated or banned by states. And you can thank anti-porn radfems for it.
Replying to @ljmontello
I was shocked to read recently that the "professional" porn studios in Denmark made films with children until the government banned it (only in 1980!!) And these films are in the Swedish National Library's film collection and it only stopped lending them a few years ago

It has. Underage perpetrators have outpaced adult perpetrators (mostly male) in terms of violence against children (majority female): youtu.be/aeRqat17qbY?is=Tz69…
you're genuinely delusional if you think the prevalence of incest and noncon porn hasn't caused an increase of the number of pre-teen and teen boys sexually abusing their sisters, cousins and girlfriends

The BBC tried the same angle in May. Anti-colonialism now means third-world males, from Afghanistan to Gaza, are never responsible for their own horrible actions.

under my tweet condemning strangulation and linking sources, i kept getting replies of people saying “you can do it in a low-risk way”, “you can do it without choking the windpipe”. so i think what's happening here is that these people just don't know what strangulation is 🧵

People pretend that porn sets are these super regulated, by the books, media production companies but the reality is they pump everyone full of alcohol and drugs, make them sign waivers saying they arnt drunk, and cut out scenes of young actresses saying “stop” or “that hurts”

Women, we are all one traumatic event away from being that “gross crackhead whore” on the street that you gawk at and judge. She is us, if the world was crueler to us, and we had no refuge in family or home for us to go. Never think you are different or better than her.
I do think it’s a shame that a lot of women see sex workers/porn stars/strippers and so on as an entirely different species to them. We were all just one bad situation away from that as a girl bsfr

I’m so fucking sick of the argument ‘It’s just porn, it’s not real life, who cares?” Sexual abusers ALL watch this type of porn. It didn’t redirect their feelings away from innocent children: it normalized, encouraged, and exacerbated their sexual predation.

I hope the people out here making slippery slope fallacies about bans of strangulation, incest & ageplay porn realize they're using the same arguments pornographers used against banning child porn/CSAM in the 70s & 80s.

People disgusted at Brooke Shields posing nude in Playboy at 10y/o need to understand that the porn industry propaganda of that age promoted the idea that some children were mature enough to consent & cried censorship the same way they are to defend incest porn right now.

If 68% of people who did caving, skydiving, or wilderness hiking ended up having adverse incidents resulting in trauma or death, we'd regulate it out of existence as well. Yet somehow we want to pretend that strangling a woman and killing her brain cells is a normal risk.
Replying to @ljmontello
People engage in risky behaviour all the fucking time. Caving, skydiving, wilderness hiking. All these things risk death. The only difference here is that sex is involved so suddenly it’s bad and wrong. It’s pure moral relativism

strangulation is literally the second most common cause of stroke for young women in the uk, and you still have useless wastes of oxygen talking about how the uk government banning it in porn is going “too far”

I don't want to hear any more about how women need to "get back to wholesome value" when men spend $6 BILLION a year on OnlyFans.

One of the most shocking stories of #surrogacy #exploitation I've ever read: - A single mother of three working as a waitress and struggling to feed her kids - Living with a physically abusive ex-boyfriend - Answered a wealthy gay couple's Facebook post. They agreed to pay her a measly £60-£90/month and promised to help her move out of her abuser's home (they didn't) - Paid her own travel to clinics for nearly two years - So poor she couldn't buy her children Christmas dinner - Once pregnant, the monthly payments never came save one lump sum of £500 - Lost her job after time off to recover from bleeding during the pregnancy, had nothing to eat - Gay couple blamed her hormones when she cried about her broken radiator - After ultrasounds they took her to expensive restaurants, then sent her home to feed her kids rice. Her therapist: they are "buying you with that food." - The men swapped in a new therapist who scolded her for not trusting them and exploited her childhood abandonment and homelessness to manipulate her - Never saw a single test result. The men even dictated the postpartum underwear in her hospital bag - In her seventh month she was bleeding and the baby wasn't growing properly. The buyers didn't come, they extended their month-long European vacation - After her C-section, she was shut in a back room while they showed off the baby to visitors - When she refused to sign the discharge, both fathers and both grandmothers screamed at her as she lay in bed, called her a baby thief, and threatened to take her other children and send her to jail. A lawyer threatened criminal charges. After six hours, she signed - The biological father got that signature by promising her money. She never received it - Left on the street with her C-section wound and a dead phone, and had to charge it at a café to call an Uber home - They promised she would always be part of his life. She hasn't seen him in two years. But she says the worst part is… she only got to hold her baby for 10 minutes. This is surrogacy. Shut it down. dailymail.com/news/article-1…
