The ElastOS Browser runs every website inside its own tiny virtual machine on your computer.
You see a live stream of the page. Your clicks go in; trackers, downloads and site code stay in the box. No direct internet, no access to your home network. Your logins belong to your Home. Early, a bit slow, very private.
Video repost below shows how the runtime creates a clear layer boundary to protect you.

It will happen, and I can see the path to how there will be Games and Apps and even things like inference offered in Elacity over time - users can use a Flint agent in ElastOS to package anything they want and push it to the market, buyers can purchase and downlad and own it on their runtime, even if the creator shuts down, so long as the buyers own a copy, the smart contract lives on and they can validate ownership and access it

One thing I wish we could have in gaming is true ownership.
I've bought games on Steam, Switch and PS5, and some of them more than once. It would be great to have one digital license that I can use across platforms, keep safe on #ElastOS, transfer to someone else, or pass on without worrying about a game server shutting down.
Imagine buying a game once and keeping the right to use it, even years later.
That's an idea I'd love to see explored with Elastos. 🎮 $ELA @ElastosInfo

First, it looks like a computer and acts like a computer; therefore, it is a computer.
Second, you can open a window on the desktop to display the JohnDoe://www folder as if you were accessing an X:\www drive and treat it as his personal website.
Third, similar to converting a Word document into a PDF, user-generated content may be published as DigitCapsules—limited-edition digital goods—so you can trade them with others.
Fourth, it will be very difficult to launch DDoS, man-in-the-middle, or Sybil attacks from your account to mine, because neither you nor I see the internet at all.
Fifth, how can I convince people that the Elastos World Computer is a paradigm shift—Back To The Future? You may have to see and feel it, just like the WWW once upon a time.
It's running inside ElastOS, on the PC² Terminal, through our own ARM64 → WebAssembly translator, drawn on the local GPU.
No cloud phone. No video stream. 🧡

A note on the recent discussion around elliptic curves and quantum computing.
Elastos Mainchain, ESC and EID continue to operate as before, using the same cryptographic standards as most blockchains. The discussion concerns future security, not an immediate threat.
How Elastos Mainchain works today:
• ELA addresses are derived from public key hashes. Public keys are generally exposed when an address first signs a transaction or other operation, including staking, voting, claiming rewards or registering nodes.
• Addresses that have never signed do not expose their public keys on-chain.
• Blocks are secured through SHA-256 merge mining with Bitcoin.
• Wallet keys are derived from recovery phrases, which are never published on-chain.
If you want to prepare early, you can keep a long-term ELA in addresses that have never signed, and transfer remaining funds to fresh addresses after spending. This is a precaution, not a permanent quantum-resistant solution. The bunker mode is already on main chain.
Transaction signatures and block finality still rely on elliptic-curve cryptography. Research into hash-based alternatives for Mainchain has been underway for months through Elacity Labs for Elastos.
A future outlook will be published when ready and approved by Elastos DAO.
No action is required today.
Today I call upon the blockchain industry to calmly begin planning for "bunker mode". My personal recommendation is to set in motion a controlled mass migration of assets to fresh addresses, i.e. addresses whose pubkeys remain hidden behind a hash.
Holders, starting with large and sophisticated ones, should consider moving the bulk of their funds to addresses that have never signed a transaction. And when they do sign one, they should also move remaining funds to a new address (possibly generated from the same seed phrase).
Don't rush. While I believe there is cause for action a rushed migration would do more harm than good. Don't panic either. Moving assets to protected addresses is a simple, preventative step which does not require new cryptography or new wallets.
IMO it is now reasonable to brace for the possibility that ECDSA breaks before qday, in the worst case in months not years. By "break" I mean fast private key recovery (e.g. in one week) on available hardware (e.g. a large GPU cluster).
Recent days have been humbling for human mathematical intuition. Long-held, unquestioned hypotheses have fallen. This includes the n log(n) bound for integer multiplication and the 3SUM conjecture. In hindsight, May's unexpected disproof of the Erdős unit distance conjecture was our warning shot.
Yesterday's OpenAI drop made it clear that mathematical superintelligence is upon us. They say there are weeks where decades happen. We are about to live through weeks where centuries of mathematical progress happen. Could our magic 64-byte ECDSA signatures be too good to be true? Was it just security through obscurity all this time?
Elliptic curves feel especially vulnerable to superintelligence. Curves carry rich structure, with room for fancy tricks like Schoof, Frobenius, pairings. (By contrast, hashes are designed to minimise algebraic structure.)
Separately, as Ewin Tang can attest, an efficient quantum algorithm sometimes foreshadows an efficient classical one. We should be open to the possibility of a classical counterpart to Shor that breaks elliptic curves and RSA at once.
Also noteworthy is the striking under-representation of cryptographic breakthroughs among the 722 mathematical results OpenAI published. I've witnessed first-hand the US government censoring academic quantum cryptanalysis results. Backroom interventionism is my base case.
I urge large, sophisticated actors to lead by example. Project11's "risq list" (bitcoin-risq-list.projecteleven[.]com) is a great tracker of exposed BTC pubkeys. Binance, Bitbank, Robinhood, Bitfinex, and Tether have an opportunity to harden their cold storage. Next month I'll address institutions in London in a live Q&A (forum.ethereuminstitutional[.]org/london-2026).
Again, please do not rush. Wallets holding under 50 BTC enjoy partial cover from "Satoshi's shield", i.e. his 20K exposed addresses that hold 50 BTC each. Load-bearing signers like oracles and L2 security councils should consider rotating ECDSA pubkeys with every signed message and/or multi-signing with a hash-based schemes like SPHINCS.
Exiting bunker mode safely will require post-AI cryptography. My inclination is to go all-in on hash-based cryptography and avoid structured mathematical assumptions entirely, whether from curves, lattices, or isogenies. A single battle-tested hash (e.g. from the SHA or BLAKE families) yields plausible post-AI security.
The Ethereum roadmap on strawmap[.]org fully embraces hash-based cryptography with end-to-end formal verification as a response to the quantum threat. Those timelines must now be revisited and accelerated in light of mathematical superintelligence. I'll be pushing for maximum defensive acceleration.

Elastos World Computer’s DigitCapsules are universal applications that run across the Internet regardless of the hosting PC2 hardware brand. They are scarce, enduring, and tradable as digital goods.
Because DigitCapsules are independent of hardware brands, devices can adopt diverse UI/UX designs that encourage varied form factors, such as glasses or cooktops.
Hardware brands can then combine freely to serve customers more effectively.
Replying to @chen2rong2
Historically, UI/UX was central to operating-system design, and only two or three mainstream operating-systems served mobile and PC environments.
Developers could create more varied operating-systems for niche needs, but application-portability limits make it impractical to build apps across many platforms.
In ElastOS, UI/UX is not part of the operating-system; instead, it resides in the PC2 hosting system. Self-sovereign WebAssembly sandboxes are responsible for ubiquitous app-execution needs.
Likewise, multithreading, memory management, file systems, and networking should not belong to the operating-system design. This should not surprise those familiar with microkernel design concepts.
Applications should manage multithreading and memory. Specifically, these functions rely on the RTOS embedded within DigitCapsules, the wrapper.
File systems, websites and social networks fall under WebSpaces, a type of backend application known as a service. WebSpaces will go well beyond files and directories; they will support groups, channels, databases, shopping carts, crypto wallets and much more.
Centralized and decentralized Carriers, commissioned by WebSpaces and operating on PC2 hosts, should handle networking. Carrier implementations should be hidden behind ElastOS from both AppCapsules and WebSpaces.
In other words, AppCapsules and WebSpaces are agnostic to both PC2 hosting-hardware brands and the internet protocols.

ElastOS World Computer is something worth building and fighting for. Step by step, action by action.
OpenAI Astra on where we are at:
“ElastOS Runtime has already built a large amount of the difficult technology required for a real personal operating system for the decentralized internet. Identity, Wallet authority, capabilities and permissions, documents, collaboration, Browser mediation, AI/model execution, protected content and Runtime-controlled security boundaries are not merely ideas; substantial working implementations exist. The architecture is also coherent: Home expresses what the user wants, Runtime controls authority and security, and providers deliver services. That is important because these are the foundations required for a computer where the user, rather than an application or cloud platform, controls identity, data, permissions, applications and AI. The report therefore validates that years of engineering have produced something technically meaningful and potentially very valuable.
The architecture appears sound, significant engineering value already exists, and the individual systems demonstrate that much of the difficult technical groundwork has been done. The opportunity now is unusually clear: stop adding surface area and make the existing Runtime boringly reliable. If ElastOS can turn its existing identity, authority, data, application, communications and AI infrastructure into a dependable everyday experience, it crosses an important threshold from an ambitious collection of decentralized technologies into something much more valuable: a working personal computer architecture where the individual genuinely owns the digital world around them.”

ElastOS Runtime can connect providers and services together through a simple sovereign operating system environment.
When everything becomes modular as Digital Capsules, new and unique combinations become possible by design. ELA bonding adds the economic layer, allowing providers to participate in and grow the World Computer.
So much good stuff coming, elacity batch minting multiple videos with on-chain buy now business models into my shop.
How we then make Elacity a skill/model so all in agentic chat in ElastOS is an immediate use case we want for users with LocalAI models and packaging local data onto a global peer to peer market in one click.
Eight weeks of development: Runtime v0.7.0 now underpins upcoming ElastOS v2, where users can install local AI models from Marketplace, protected content covers nearly every major file type, Essentials wallet and DAO overhaul next as Halborn audits main chain

Jev and Laya open up a powerful possibility for ElastOS, AI that doesn’t always need to think big to act smart.
We can now see our own sovereign computer deciding which app should handle a request, filtering spam, sorting your library, or helping your agent choose its next step, locally, quickly, and without sending everything to a giant model.
Laya is an open-source (Jev) decision model that scores options rather than generating paragraphs. That makes it a promising fit for lightweight, frequent decisions inside ElastOS.
The bigger vision then is supporting a sovereign computer where AI agents can choose what to do, runtime via you controls what they’re allowed to do, and your data stays under your authority.
From smarter assistants to AI-powered games, this can make the World Computer more responsive, private and useful, one capsule at a time.
It still needs testing in our environment. But it’s exactly the kind of capability i'm excited about exploring as the base network OS layer settles. elastos:native
