RNLI crews went out in the dark to save strangers.   Associated British Ports refused entry. A Royal Navy harbour denied access and warned of prosecution. A masked far-right crowd awaited them in Portsmouth.   Your Party stands with the crews. The rest have questions to answer

Your Party has launched Rent Controls Now! in England, Scotland and Cymru. Freeze rents. Cap rents. Build millions of council homes. Britain did all three in the twentieth century. Andy Burnham’s Labour refuses to do any of them in 2026.

In 1948, Britain co-drafted the Genocide Convention. In 2025, the UN Commission of Inquiry ruled Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. In 2026, thirty days as Prime Minister, Andy Burnham refuses to say the word Britain wrote. He inherited the treaty. He is hiding from it.

In 1920, London dockers refused to load the Jolly George with weapons for a war they rejected. In 2026, Andy Burnham’s government signs the licences for the jets bombing Gaza. Dockers found their conscience in an afternoon. He has not managed it in thirty days.

Working people should not be absorbing rising costs while energy companies, landlords and corporations protect their profits. A serious governnent would immediately raise the minimum wage to £15 an hour, urgently introduce rent controls and bring energy into public ownership

Labour government describes 230 people on a rubber dinghy as reckless and dangerous. What's more reckless is selling weapons of war that cause refugees to make such journeys. In 2024 Labour licensed a record £9.2bn of arms. Burnham has revoked none.

The Labour government overruled Tower Hamlets council to approve a data server farm over housing. 31,000 families are on the waiting list. They just found out where they rank. Below a trading algorithm. Andy Burnham’s first devolution test. He chose the billionaires

Britain right now is a nationwide crime scene. Three droughts in five years. The fossil fuel industry left its fingerprints on every dried-up river in England, and every politician who took their money is an accessory

Jeremy Corbyn told Angela Rayner, in writing, that Britain’s private rent crisis has reached epidemic proportions. She read it. Then she ruled out rent controls, the one policy proven to fix it

Andy Burnham said Labour ‘didn’t get it right’ on Palestine and needs to ‘do better.’ Omar Barghouti’s verdict: ‘the mother of all British understatements.’ You don’t ‘get wrong’ a genocide. You’re complicit, or you end it.

Extremely disappointing. There is no hope of ending homelessness if we do not stand up to vested interests and take action against extortionate private rents. We need rent controls, and we need them now.

This decision shows a hideous lack of judgment from Andy Burnham, who has decided to cement Britain’s role as a vassal state to US imperialism and the illegal war in Iran. We need real leadership that will stand up to Trump, not another poodle.
EXCLUSIVE: Andy Burnham has approved the use of British military bases by the US for what the UK calls defensive strikes against Iran, in a continuation of Keir Starmer’s policy even as Trump ramps up his war. Starmer chaired a COBR meeting on Friday to discuss UK policy following the resumption of US operations and amid fears of an escalating conflict. Ministers at that meeting decided to continue the existing policy that bases at Diego Garcia and RAF Fairford could be used by US planes countering the Iranian missile threat and sites used to target the Strait of Hormuz, sources say. Burnham, who became PM on Monday, was informed of the discussion and agreed with the decision taken, sources say. He will continue the previous government’s policy when it comes to approving UK bases for so-called defensive US strikes, they say. It means British bases are likely to be used for some of the current round of American operations. The decision emerges after the 10th day of renewed US action. US Central Command said it targeted Iranian military command centers, launch sites and air defences overnight. British officials have nonetheless been concerned about Trump’s threats to strike bridges and power plants. It is likely to provoke criticism from left-wing Labour MPs, the Green Party and the Liberal Democrats who have argued use of the bases makes the UK complicit in war crimes. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Burnham’s cabinet appointments do not appear to indicate a change of direction for the Labour government. From John Healey as Chancellor and Wes Streeting at the MoD, to Yvette Cooper overseeing our NHS and Shabana Mahmood staying at the Home Office, the majority of the new cabinet have played key roles in cuts and austerity in our communities, further privatisation of our public services, political cover for Israel’s genocide in Gaza, and the hostile environment for refugees and those seeking safety and security in Britain. Whilst there have been some positive signs that things may change under Burnham’s leadership, his appointments suggest nothing more than tinkering around the edges of Starmer’s failure after changing the branding. We will accept nothing less than a total economic reset and policies such as wealth tax, rent controls, sanctions on Israel, cutting the likes of Palantir out of our NHS, ending pandering to the far-right on immigration and the hostile environment once and for all.
