As part of the @CommunityRail Conference in Derby, yesterday we had the pleasure of visiting Cromford on @DVLrail with the Derwent Valley Line Community Rail Partnership & @EastMidRailway. The conference is a chance to network, exchange ideas and find out about inspiring projects

Greater Anglia customers are advised to check before travelling between Ipswich and Lowestoft and to leave extra time to complete your journey by visiting nationalrail.co.uk or greateranglia.co.uk
Last evening we hosted a group of 17 from 8th Felixstowe Beavers. They took the train from @greateranglia #Felixstowe to #Ipswich & back again, had a safety talk, we're able to talk with the conductor, and ask questions. Each Beaver earned the Platforms for Change scouting badge.
We had brilliant weather for our guided walk yesterday! The 5.5mi circular route began @greateranglia Melton. 42 humans & 4 dogs took part as we made our way along the River Deben then up to Sutton Hoo. From there we walked along the King Charles III EC path back to the station.
Out with the old, in with the new! The flowers at the train shaped planter @greateranglia #Saxmundham were renewed this morning by Rail Officer Thalia ensuring lovely colour through the winter.
Mother Nature opened the skies and provided the water! 😃🌧️

Today we and the Travel Training Team took 13 pupils from @FXS_School by train from Trimley to Ipswich. They learned about tickets/how to read the route map/safety. It's designed to help students gain confidence to travel independently. Have a look on @BBCLookEast this evening!

Today marks 1 year since we entered public ownership under DFTO.
Over the past 12 months we have remained one of the best performing train operators in the UK, opened Beaulieu Park and Cambridge South railway stations, extended contactless ticketing to Stansted Airport, Witham and Southend Victoria, and carried out timetable improvements and community initiatives.
We are also taking advantage of being part of GBR Anglia – a unified railway combining Greater Anglia, c2c and Network Rail Anglia.

Today we teamed up with ESSCRP, hosting a Shanty Train special from @greateranglia #Manningree to #HarwichTown! Jane, June & Thalia were decked out in pirate gear on the specially decorated train that made the journey to Harwich taking passengers to the Annual Sea Shanty Festival
