I was honoured to have been invited to deliver the 100th Colles lecture. Really great to have so many colleagues, friends and particularly former researchers from @TissueEngDublin in attendance.
Professor Fergal O’Brien delivered the historic 100th Abraham Colles Lecture today at #RCSICharter 👏
The audience were taken on a journey from RCSI’s legacy in anatomy into our future-facing research in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.

Well done Rajiv et al.! A great way to wrap up the year 🎄🎉
As 2024 wraps up, I am happy to share two latest work published by @drmgmonaghan lab. We showed a silk based conductive hydrogel integrated with iPSC-derived neural cells, offering a minimally invasive approach for spinal cord repair. Read here onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…
We are eager to share this study while it undergoes peer review. Culmination of several years work by @meenakshi_suku in @tcdTCBE engineering cocultures of iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes and immune cells (macrophages). Enjoy!
