"Heads I win, tails I win" - so says Tom Lee about higher interest rates.
Over on @CNBC Scot Wapner is having a conversation with @fundstrat Tom Lee about whether TINA is dead. @TheJudgeCNBC
Lee says higher rates are great for equities because consumers' interest income will improve and that increased income will be recirculated into stocks.
But, Scott, ask him about what happens to the other side of the balance sheet - liabilities (consumer and corporate) - that will suffer from rising rates and higher interest/loan costs?
What about the stasis in housing from a 8% mortgage rate? (What about the jobs market - where people are reluctant to move and lose a 3% mortgage?)
What about the rollover risk of private equity portfolio loans in the next two years of loans that were put on during zero interest rates?
etc. etc.

JIm, I remember you telling me stories about Teddy Grossman ....
Replying to @DougKass
My Teddy was named for Teddy Grossman, Hollywood stuntman. Sadly, Ted was killed by Jaws but went on to be stunt coordinator for Indiana Jones series among others.

My love of dachshunds started because of @jim22palmer doxies Barney and Teddy (who I think was named for Jim Palmer's best friend who was a great Hollywood stuntman). I have had five so far because of Teddy (PS Ollie was and Daisy is a Dodger dog, Jim!)....
Here is my quote in Jim Palmer's book "Nine Innings To Success - A Hall of Famer's Approach to Achieving Excellence" (which led off Jim's book and that I have just sent to @KeithMcCullough and @HedgeyeDJ
" The stock market, like baseball, has its ups and downs. Both games are nuanced, mandate concentration, and require mentors to elevate individuals to their highest potential. There's tough love involved in the mentoring process. A mentor in the financial world will call you out for not being rigorous enough in your research - just as a good baseball man will make sure you practice your pitching and hitting.
My Grandma Koufax (Yes, that Koufax!) was painfully honest in her mentorship of me. When sharing her investment knowledge, her favorite phrase was, "Don't piss in my eye and tell me its raining."
There is no substitute for hard work, but we all need mentors like Grandma Koufax and Earl Weaver to keep us on the straight and narrow, so that we can constantly improve our investing prowess, our skills on the baseball field, or our efforts in any areas in which we strive for excellence."

The concerns in the minds and hearts of all New York Yankee fans are quite obvious:
* The team is deep in the playoffs and they have stopped hitting
* The team may have lost a sense of the basic fundamentals of the game (e.g. Austin Wells' baserunning last night against Tampa)
