Congratulations to all of the winners last night, including our Mayor and Toronto-Danforth's newest representative, Sara Ehrhardt. May you serve this community with distinction and continue in your devoted service to help this community grow.
To my incredible staff and volunteers - words cannot describe my gratitude for the long hours and stupendous work that you have all devoted to this campaign. I take great pride in what you have all accomplished.
My deepest thanks as well to the people of Toronto-Danforth for welcoming me into your homes and sharing with me what you believe is the best for your future and that of your loved ones.
I am forever grateful.
The Oxi Day Parade!
It was an honour to participate in this annual celebration of the courage, unity and resistance of Greece's stand against fascism during WWII.
Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, and everyone who came out!
Incredible news! Such an honour to have helped get this across the finish line.
Congratulations to the @chinatownlandtrust on this transformative milestone!
On October 13th, 2026, Doug Ford attempted to begin destroying our City's bicycle infrastructure, and Torontonians spoke up. Residents joined together and delayed the destruction of bike lanes in the West End - but Doug Ford is not giving up. Neither are we. Let's keep moving

We need creative solutions to the housing crisis so that people who live in the city can afford to live in the city.

We remember the children who never came home. We honour the survivors and their loves ones, and acknowledge the lasting wounds of Canada's residential school system.
Let us listen, learn and commit to truth.
Happy Meskel to everyone celebrating in the Ethiopian and Eritrean communities! 🌼
In the spirit of renewal and hope I wish all of you a joyful and meaningful holiday filled with peace, togetherness and community.

I’m deeply angered by the shooting outside the Sons of Jacob Synagogue in Belleville as members of the Jewish community gathered to observe Yom Kippur yesterday evening.
No one should fear for their safety as they gather to pray. Yet again, the Jewish community has had its sense of safety shaken on a sacred day.
My thoughts are with the injured police officer and his family, as well as those with those who were in the synagogue.
In this moment, we must stand together against antisemitism and all forms of hate. As Canadians, it is our responsibility to protect one another, defend our shared values, and ensure that every person can live and worship safely.
Spotted work near the bike lanes at Christie and Bloor?
It's underground gas and utility work - not an attempt to remove the bike lanes. Upgrades are due to be completed shortly.
Twenty-five years ago today, nearly 3,000 people lost their lives in the attacks of September 11th.
Today is a solemn day in which we honour their memory and reflect on the lasting impact of those darkest of days, and how it has shaken our world since.
It is also a day to remember the many acts of bravery, charity and friendship witnessed a quarter century ago. The first responders who ran toward danger, the solidarity of Canadians who opened their homes in Gander, the way in which people asked themselves what they could do for one another. Their courage and sacrifice should stand as examples to us today.
It can feel as though we've slipped very far from a world of togetherness, and the forces of division, selfishness and greed can appear to have grown stronger.
We should remember the greater power of service and compassion, and in so doing honour the heroism and sacrifice of that morning twenty-five years ago.
Happy Labour Day!
Such an incredible day celebrating workers who keep our city moving! Thank you to everyone whose hard work makes Toronto what it is.
Let's continue to fight for safe workplaces, fair wages and good jobs to make Toronto a more livable city.

Thank you to city crews and first responders for their swift action and response to downed wires, fallen trees, power outages, and flooding. Putting public safety first during days like today is imperative.
Additional thanks to everyone working to keep our communities safe and to our neighbours helping one another through the aftermath of the storm.
There is a lot of work to do to clean up following today’s storm, and it will take a few days. Please be patient as city crews work through the neighbourhoods.
If you see a fallen tree or other non-emergency issue, please continue to report it to 311. Report electrical hazards to Toronto Hydro, and call 911 for emergencies.
The City’s Emergency Operations Centre has been activated since this morning to prepare for the high intensity winds and rain that Toronto is seeing now.
City crews are already out responding to downed power wires, fallen trees, flooding and more. TTC is working to restore service where it has been affected by flooding and debris spread by high winds.
In an emergency, call 9-1-1. To report non-emergencies, like fallen trees branches, call 3-1-1 or visit toronto.ca/311 to make a report.
Stay clear of downed powerlines and report any electrical hazards to Toronto Hydro immediately by calling 416-542-8000 (press 1). If downed powerlines have started a fire, call 9-1-1.
This is a bad day for Toronto.
The Ontario government is moving ahead with ripping out bike lanes that we want and already paid for.

Thank you for the warm welcome #TorDan. I’m looking forward to connecting with you over the coming weeks to earn your votes. If you see Team Saxe on the street, stop by and say hi!
This afternoon, I moved my candidacy to Ward 14, Toronto-Danforth. After long reflection and consideration, I feel this is the best opportunity to have more experienced and progressive voices on Council working to deliver safer neighbourhoods, affordable housing and faster transit.
After four years of fighting for a better connected, more sustainable city, I'm looking forward to engaging with residents in Toronto-Danforth and working with them in building a more livable city, together.
Please see my statement.

Torontonians deserve more safe ways to get around—not fewer. 🚲
I will continue to fight for Toronto's bike lanes, and stand up for our right to decide what works best for our streets.
