Netflix has released the first official photos from ‘Give Me Some Sugah’, the upcoming faith-based drama produced by Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin.
The film, which premieres December 16, 2026, is based on the viral true story of Chicago bakery owner Lenore Lindsey.
Taraji P. Henson plays Lindsey, a woman who risks everything to open her dream bakery only to make a life-changing discovery: one of her most loyal customers is the son she placed for adoption decades earlier. The real-life reunion, which first gained widespread attention in 2024, inspired the project.

Growing up, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was my favorite toy and cartoon!
Over 15 years ago, when I was a production executive at Sony Pictures and I oversaw the buying of the movie rights and development of Masters of the Universe.
Over ten years ago when I left the studio to start my own company, I joined the project as a producer.
It’s amazing to see it finally come to life! Check out Masters of the Universe in theaters worldwide today! @AmazonMGMStudio

Fun and loving has to be part of the process too. 🤍✨
Such a good conversation with @DeVonFranklin about dating, understanding yourself first, and keeping your heart open along the way.
There’s so much power in learning what you truly want and enjoying the process too.
