Last Saturday, 21 March 2026, it was a pleasure to speak at the Central Asian Spring Festival (CASF) 2026 on behalf of @A_CAA in London. The Central Asian Spring Festival, Europe's Largest Nowruz celebration, is organised by the UCL Kazakh Society and UCL Uzbek Society every year, and it was fantastic to see such a vibrant showcase of culture and community from over 20 countries that celebrate Nowruz. This year marked the 17th anniversary of the festival, welcoming an impressive crowd of 3,000 people throughout the day, all with FREE entry, making it accessible to everyone. @A_CAA was also pleased to host a stall at the event, to represent Afghanistan & Tajikistan. A big thank you to all the sponsors (especially @airastana) and stallholders (Samarkand Palav, @bk_soc, Warwick Kazakh Society, @HouseofTengri, Balausa Jewellery, @CommunityUyghur, Aizhan Art Design, Rau Accessories, Art Kawai Jewellery, @Tusu_uk, UCL Azerbaijani Society, London Kazakh Centre, Uzbek Student Union, Jam and Jive, The Arts Stage Theatre, Mama's Kitchen, Kazakh Societies Guild, Stevia, @wayu_uz & Shanyrak UK) who made the day possible. Special thanks to Alimkhan Abdykalykov for his excellent work as event manager. A sincere thank you to @ucl and @TheUnionUCL for hosting the Central Asian Spring Festival (CASF) on campus at the Main Quad each year. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year.
