I’ve been secretly(?) working at @TrustWallet for the past 3 weeks, focusing on global GTM and growth partnerships.
(well maybe not that secretly some of you have already spotted my new badge lol)
There’s a lot happening at Trust Wallet right now. We already have one of the largest user bases in crypto, and there’s still so much untapped potential.
I’m especially excited about exploring new products, partnerships, and creative ways to bring crypto to more people.
btw we’re still looking for awesome people to join us, especially in global product marketing (plz plz plz)

one of my most interesting observations:
some people work at startups but operate like they’re in corporate
others work at big corporations but move like founders
the entrepreneurial mindset has very little to do with where you work
I guess you work in partnerships long enough and eventually realize:
being impressive gets you the first meeting
being someone people genuinely enjoy being around gets you the second, third, and every meeting after that
the real skill isn’t getting people to admire you. It’s making them want to spend time with you again

It’s funny how often partners and friends ask me if @TrustWallet’s user base is primarily in Asia.
believe it or not, North America and Europe are actually our leading markets…😂

the most effective BD effort at conferences is organizing private dinners rather than hopping between random events.
why it’s effective: 1) you warm up the relationships with your prospects, partners, VIPs, etc. before arrival (rather than starting cold with new folks during events); 2) work with teammates to maximize the impact (rather than going solo); 3) genuine private convo and industry deep dive (rather than mainly icebreaking).

a reminder that there’s a whole world of fascinating businesses and opportunities beyond crypto & AI
crypto and AI are just two games in a much bigger world.

the KBW & TOKEN fomo is becoming unbearable
what can I do to offset this pain
funny looking back at 2024 when half the chain theses were basically:
XX will be huge
→ therefore XX needs its own chain
gaming, social, consumer crypto…
turns out “consumer crypto will be huge”
≠ consumer crypto needs a dedicated chain
probably also why I like the wallet thesis so much @TrustWallet
wallets shouldn’t be married to one chain ecosystem. the value is in being a chain agnostic distribution layer
but chain agnostic doesn’t mean supporting every chain either
follow users, assets, and liquidity. go deep where the actual economic activity is
been a Robinhood user for years and holding $HOOD for 2+ years, so this one felt a little special 😭
