Hey @GapCA this math seems a little disingenuous. The clerk said I’d save 50% but in fact the discount is 40% plus 10% of 40% off. That’s a total of 46% off. I looked it up and the T&C on the ‘treat’ discount says “extra 10% off your purchase” not off your discounted subtotal

Gotta admit, feeling a little prickly hearing the chief electoral officer for ON on say on @OttawaMorning that @hydroottawa prioritizing election sites when my neighbourhood on well water has had neither power nor water for five days.
I have been thinking this constantly throughout the police action. This is the new standard for all protests, right? The indigenous and the POC and all the marginalized folks too?
Oh Ottawa. I love you so much, and it’s heartbreaking to watch the city imploding. Every crack and fissure that’s been hiding under the surface has broken wide open. I feel so helpless watching it.

My whole life, I’ve believed that the government and the police were ultimately good and ultimately acted with good intentions. The occupation of Ottawa has left me angry and disillusioned. I’ve lost so much faith in humanity and our public institutions.
I have never seen the mild mannered, rule following people of Ottawa this angry. Ever. And most of it is directed @OttawaPolice

Ottawa residents have blocked dozens of Convoy vehicles from entering downtown. Their blockade started at 9 this morning..going on 6 hours. It is -21 C with the windchill. Don't see any propane tank heaters/ generators/or illegal bonfires keeping them warm

After 15 days of an occupation… and with reports of a burgeoning free-for-all in downtown #Ottawa tonight … the sickening and bewildering reality for residents of Canada’s capital city is that no one really is in charge, & those charged with leading have abandoned their posts.
This thread is everything that's breaking my heart over the ongoing occupation of Ottawa. How is this happening in my beautiful city? Why is this being allowed to continue? WTAF?? I'm so angry, and so disillusioned, that this could happen - that this is still happening.
