The Moral Limits of Surrogacy On CURE America, host Jonathan Alexandre, Vice President of Governmental Affairs and Senior Counsel at Liberty Counsel, is joined by Mark Wiltz of Live Action and Torrey Snow of CURE. They take on a question much of the culture avoids: what happens when a child is treated as a product? The conversation examines surrogacy, IVF, and an industry that has turned parenthood into a transaction — the humanity of the preborn, the harm of the abortion pill, and the difference between welcoming a child and ordering one. At the center is McKenna West, a cardiac nurse hired as a surrogate by a couple in Los Angeles. When her unborn son was diagnosed with a severe heart defect, the intended parents asked her to end the pregnancy. She refused. McKenna came to Texas, where her son could receive life-saving care and the law still recognizes him as alive. Gabriel was born. With the support of Live Action, Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Erik Baptist, and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a contract did not become a death sentence. Later in the hour, Marty Dannenfelser of CURE joins Alexandre and Snow to discuss the fight for educational freedom through scholarship tax credits, and why Congress must set clear limits on high-potency THC hemp products being sold nationwide. A child is not a line item. Family and faith are older and stronger than any market that has learned to put a price on life

Talarico would vote to take away your kids and transition them, not just in Texas, but nationwide. Pure evil.
Every word is James Talarico’s. 27 clips. 4 minutes. 2019–2026. “God is non-binary.” “…many more than two biological sexes. In fact, there are six.” “If you deny your child’s gender identity… it’s abusive for sure.” “There’s only one person who can determine a child’s gender identity, and that’s the child.” “I want to acknowledge that our trans community needs abortion care too.” “…the bill that would have denied gender-affirming health care to trans children… All these ideologies stem from this Christofascism movement.” “The way I fought for trans kids in the legislature is how I will fight for the U.S. Senate, and my position hasn’t changed.” “Prophetic voices like Jesus have helped me reckon with my own whiteness.” “It’s always rich to me that defund the police is considered off limits…” “Prison is violence.” “Tear down this secret police force.” Assault weapons ban? “Absolutely.” Send this to 10 Texas voters and tell them to vote today.

Last night in Detroit, CURE hosted an incredible Community Town Hall at Oasis of Hope Christian Church on Blacks and Jews Standing Together. Rabbi Aaron Bergman, Apostle Ellis Smith, and Pastor Claude May joined the gathering as neighbors filled the room. Jewish Americans stood with African Americans in the civil rights era; yesterday the message was clear that solidarity continues. Michigan’s Black church communities stood publicly with Israel and with the biblical values that strengthen families and communities. Grateful for everyone who showed up. The energy was powerful. #BlacksAndJews #StandWithIsrael #CURE #Detroit #FreedomRevival

🚨 THE ABDUL EL-SAYED STORY JUST GOT MUCH HARDER TO DISMISS The New York Times is now reporting that Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed signed a 2012 letter supporting Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi’s “revolutionary decisions” during the Muslim Brotherhood’s brief rule of Egypt. The letter called on Morsi to “purge the media and the police as quickly as possible.” It was published just days after Morsi issued a sweeping decree shielding his decisions from judicial review — a move condemned at the time as an authoritarian power grab. El-Sayed has denied having ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, and his campaign declined to answer the Times’ questions about the letter. At some point, the question becomes unavoidable: How many documented connections does it take before voters are entitled to start asking whether there is a pattern? @realDailyWire @KassyAkiva

Arkansas opened school choice to every student. Participation tripled. Test scores rose (62nd %ile math, 66th reading). Homeschoolers led the way.
 The market is working.

31 states (and counting) are opting into the Education Freedom Tax Credit.
Up to $3,400 for married couples → scholarships for kids who need options most.
America’s answer to poverty has never been more bureaucracy. It’s school choice, work, faith, and family.

This was a fun conversation with @LCActionJonA and @PTeller about saving lives through government funding. Thanks for having me, @CUREpolicy!
In this episode of CURE America, host Jonathan Alexandre, Vice President of Governmental Affairs and Senior Counsel at Liberty Counsel, explores what it means to protect lives that most Americans will never personally meet—the unborn, the elderly targeted by fraud, and women facing unregulated abortion drugs—through federal policy, appropriations, and state constitutional fights.   Alexandre opens with the Hyde Amendment, the decades-old provision that has barred most federal funding of elective abortion. Joined by Jamie Dangers, Director of Federal Affairs at Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, and Paul Teller, President of Teller Strategies, the discussion traces the amendment’s origins after Roe v. Wade, when Medicaid began covering hundreds of thousands of abortions each year. Dangers explains how the measure, first advanced by freshman Congressman Henry Hyde, has been reaffirmed annually and, according to Charlotte Lozier Institute analysis, is associated with roughly 2.7 million lives preserved over fifty years. The guests examine why that once-bipartisan restraint has eroded, how Obamacare and later reconciliation bills created funding workarounds by subsidizing plans that cover abortion rather than paying for procedures directly, and why making Hyde permanent remains unfinished business. They also address the political reality that the Democratic platform now calls for its repeal and that some Republican platforms and negotiations have shown cracks, underscoring that Hyde itself was already a compromise rather than the outer limit of protection.   The program then turns to the protection of older Americans navigating an expanding landscape of online and telephone fraud. Marty Dannenfelser, Vice President of Government Relations and Coalitions at Cure, discusses the rise of scams that exploit vulnerability—memory lapses, isolation, or unfamiliarity with digital tools—through fake Social Security notices, cryptocurrency schemes, and deceptive ads on major platforms. Drawing on a column by Star Parker, the segment examines legislation that would require social-media companies to verify advertisers, investigate reported fraud within tight deadlines, and cooperate with federal agencies such as the FTC. Dannenfelser frames the issue as a legitimate exercise of federal authority over interstate and international commerce, while noting successful multinational operations that have disrupted transnational criminal networks and rescued trafficking victims. The conversation stresses that limited government still has a clear role in stopping bad actors who use technology to steal savings or lure people into danger.   In the closing segment, Dannenfelser returns for a broader look at the abortion pill (mifepristone and its companion regimen). He describes how Biden-era changes removed earlier in-person safeguards and how those loosened rules have remained in place, allowing the drugs to be mailed into states with protective laws. Alexandre and Dannenfelser review Louisiana’s lawsuit against the FDA, the agency’s delayed safety review (now projected into 2027), and studies—including one from the Ethics and Public Policy Center—documenting serious adverse events in a significant share of cases. They note the absence of gestational-age verification when the drugs are obtained by mail and the documented instances in which the pills have been obtained by abusers or used past the labeled window. The discussion closes by connecting these policy questions to the immediate electoral calendar: state constitutional amendments (including one in Virginia that would embed expansive abortion language and potentially undercut parental notification, conscience protections, and funding limits) and the broader choice facing voters in the coming weeks between candidates who treat the issue as settled and those who continue to press for limits.   Throughout, Alexandre keeps the focus on the practical mechanisms—appropriations riders, regulatory authority, platform accountability, and state constitutions—through which government either advances or withholds protection. The episode presents the arguments of its guests directly and leaves viewers with a clear sense of the stakes in both the ongoing appropriations process and the ballot measures already before voters. @LCActionJonA @jcdnagundi @PTeller
