Counting down to Build Stuff in Vilnius this December. Proud to be speaking there this year. If you are a developer in the Baltics or just willing to travel for one of the best-run conferences on the circuit, this is the one. buildstuff.events #BuildStuff15

Where I'm heading next: Momentum Developer Conference in Cincinnati (Oct 15), Atlanta Developer's Conference (Oct 17), AI Rising in Columbus (Oct 19-20), VSLive Orlando (Nov 15-20), and Build Stuff in Vilnius (Dec 2-4). Details as each gets closer. #DevCommunity

This week: docs that are a security problem, not just a DX problem; contracts fix both humans and AI agents reading them. IaC is documentation first, automation second. And "Idempotent" isn't enough once autoscale is in the picture. Thanks for a great week, NYC, and St. Louis.

That's a wrap at @summit_ai_cloud. Thanks to the organizing team for having me, and to everyone who came to "Serverless Beyond the Happy Path" on a Friday afternoon. Slides for everything: chadgreen.com/speaking.
30
30 minutes: "Serverless Beyond the Happy Path: What Actually Happens in Production". Wonder Ballroom at @summit_ai_cloud. Starts with a real incident: 3 months of green dashboards, then a meltdown nobody's architecture diagram predicted.
31
30 minutes to "Architecting with AI: From Requirements to Reality" in the Brilliance Ballroom at @summit_ai_cloud . Learn how to use AI to brainstorm and develop architectures for a feature requirement.

Yesterday in 3 talks: (1) your Terraform's real audience is the next engineer, now Azure. (2) A sparse OpenAPI spec costs 3 days of guessing; an enriched one costs 30 minutes. (3) Your API has a new consumer, an agent, that rarely reads your docs. Slides chadgreen.com/speaking.

Three sessions, one day, done. Closed it out with "Contract-First APIs in the Age of AI Agents" at @api_conference. Thank you to the organizers and everyone who spent part of their conference day in one of my rooms. Details and slides for all three: chadgreen.com/speaking/

Last session of the day: "Contract-First APIs in the Agent of AI Agents," 5:30, Sunset Park, @api_conference. Your API now has a consumer who never reads the docs; let's talk about what that means for your design. #APIConfernce #AIAgents

Undocumented endpoint = DX problem. Documented-but-wrong endpoint = security problem. Only one of those is optional to fix. Neither should be ignored.

Next up, 11:45: "The Future of API Documentation" - Brooklyn Bridge room, @api_conference. Reminder: no livestream for this one, so if you want to attend, you'll need to be in the room.
23
30 minutes out: "Infrastructure as Documentation" at @devops_con, Sunset Park room. If your Terraform only makes sense to the person who wrote it, come find out why. #DevOpsCon #IaC

Docs don't go stale on purpose. They go stale because nothing forces the code and the docs to agree. That gap is a key part of one my @api_conference talks on Tuesday. #APIConference

This week I'm on stage 5 times at 3 events: @api_conference + @devops_con in NYC, then @Cloud_AI_Summit in St. Louis. AI-navigable API docs, contract-first design, infrastructure-as-documentation, architecting with AI, and serverless failure modes.
