I have stopped using the "plan mode" feature.
But I still do heavy amounts of planning and documenting those plans, along with agent progress notes on larger builds.
I have my own systems and conventions for that. As should most builders.
Released some quality of life improvements to flywrite.app today. Better tabs management and a few other things.
This is a big deal if you want to use Amp + Claude Code on a max plan.
Claude Code CLI can even read and spawn other orbs, just like normal Amp threads 😍

okay, probably a bad idea to open up this experiment so early. it's VERY BAD, buggy, NOT polished.
but...now Megawatt/Gigawatt members can opt into ampcode.com/settings/experim… to use Claude Code CLI (w/Claude Pro/Max subs) in Amp orbs
it's just the Claude Code CLI jammed into Amp's UI, minimal integrations, no nice UI, no thread syncing, etc. as I said, VERY BAD. but judging from my emails/DMs/replies, people want to try this anyway.
feel free to report bugs, will triage them but won't fix immediately, and we might kill this feature entirely or be prohibited from shipping it.
Just hooked up the Elgato Prompter. Really nice.
It works as a second display. Just drag anything into it to read a script or see a video call etc on camera.

The idea of a "super app" for work with AI doesn't work for me. Different tools for different jobs:
Building with cloud agents: Amp
Hand-writing & editing: Flywrite
Deep research projects: Codex
Background tasks: Grok Bot
Strategic thinking: ChatGPT & Claude
So much of my multi-tasking is just preliminary research:
"Here's a complicated thing that needs to happen soon. Research the complexities, consider our options, and map out what our starting point should be."
Then I cycle back around and dive when I'm ready to "get into it".
Product of the year.
Everyone should copy "The Amp Way" for bugfixes:
1. Make it easy to report a bug in-product
2. Fix bugs fast
3. Find every other affected user
4. Email proactive, personalized apologies & credits
5. Get delightful replies & increase chances they report bugs -> virtuous cycle
