First time being out in the field since March, and it was a stunning view. See how the vision of @BrooklynGrange Rooftop Farms' design/build team expands beyond their own soil. cbsnews.com/video/brooklyn-g…

Let's be clear, today ought to be #IndigenousPeoplesDay in New York and across the country. It's overdue to recognize the shameful and brutal history of violence and displacement against Native and Indigenous communities in America. We must address & continue to repair this harm.
Our Co-founders got together with Adam Davidson of NPR's @planetmoney to talk about how we started our business. This was recorded almost a year ago, so a LOT has changed since then, but it's still a very informative episode that shares our story. :) link.chtbl.com/PassionEconom…

Did you know that green roofs help mitigate the urban heat island effect? Extreme heat is a public heat issue that policy makers and planners need to address. Green roofs and other forms of green infrastructure are multi-solution tools! #CitiesAlive ow.ly/8S3u50BFlYO

Proud to be a #rooftopfarmer on the #DakAkker #rooftopfarm in #Rotterdam (with cap from the @BrooklynGrange our great source of inspiration!). :)
It's true! We get tons of pollinator visitors every year :)
On our @BklynNavyYard Urban Ecology tours, we discuss milkweed extensively. @BrooklynGrange has patches of milkweed, and the farm’s location and cooler temperatures make it an ideal habitat for monarchs and other butterflies.

We look to @GrownUnder, @BrooklynGrange, @space10_journal and Eliza Hague to learn how urban farming can go beyond supplying local residents and help protect our food security while making our cities more liveable. amplifybyample.com/articles/…

Green roofs lower a building’s energy costs, reduce the urban heat island effect, manage stormwater, improve air quality, boost urban biodiversity, and increase property values. But there is one benefit that is rarely taken advantage of… food production! livingarchitecturemonitor.co…
