One of the joys of my work is getting to write about and draw some of the weirder species with whom we share our home.
For example… this week I got to draw this Male, Malagasy Leaf Nosed snake.
They’re whip thin, grow to not much more than a metre long, spend basically all their lives in the trees, and being non venomous are basically harmless.
See, not all snakes are scary!!
NB: They’re “harmless” unless of course you’re a lizard in which case disregard this, they’re very much harmful to you guys… see that dangling vine? It might be a snake!
But more to the point, how are you reading this, you’re a lizard, how do you read and why are you on X?
So many questions.
Want some artwork for yourself? Drop me a line, my books are open.

Resharing the last post of this thread… because it’s always the last one that pays the bills. 😉
(5/5) Could this happen? Almost certainly not. Should it happen? DEFINITELY not. But it’s fun to think about the “what-ifs” - especially where dinosaurs are concerned. If you agree, I think you’ll enjoy the two volumes of Novosaurs, available here: dragonsofwales.etsy.com/list…

Today marks World Wildlife Day, a vital reminder of the importance of protecting our planet’s wildlife. 🌏
For over 60 years, Wildlife Photographer of the Year has helped us see our natural world through a different lens, showcasing its beauty and the necessity to preserve it.

9 years ago my debut, Beetle Boy, was published. It was @Waterstones children’s book of the month. They supported my Adventures on Trains with @samuelsedgman & right now are championing my newest time-travel escapade Hunt for the Golden Scarab. I am so grateful. Thankyou ❤️📚
Private commission for an Italian Restaurant - will be a HUGE illustration.
It's nice flitting back and forth between the work for my next Penguin Random House UK book and this private commission.
I can't wait to get stuck into this one, it'll be full of energy and movement, and the different angles of the two Indian Peafowl will show off the full range of incredible colour and pattern in their plumage.
Should be a goodun.
Hell, I might even bust out the gold and silver leaf and gild the thing.
Will provide further updates as we go along.
Books are open for commission work for the rest of the year so if you have an idea and want to talk about some illustration work... Hit me up.

We are leaving our spider window by @MargaridaEsteves until 7th March when wildlife artist @BRillustrations Ben Rothery creates a new design. Any guesses what Ben will paint?
ADHD is not just being a bit scatty, easily distracted, a bit disorganised… it’s a bastard, a real hateful bastard.
Oh and the next person who tells me it’s a super power is getting put through a wall.
