This article really took me back to those early BioWare days and the talented people behind those games.
It also reminded me of how much those last few weeks of development can matter. After years of working on a game, another two or four weeks might not sound like much, but often they make all the difference.

I remember when BioWare was a small studio that made Shattered Steel for us at Interplay. We saw the promise in what they could do, and they went on to create Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 and become legendary. A sad day indeed. My thoughts are with everyone there today.
There was no F5! Back in my day, you had to earn your save game. You had to crawl out of the dungeon, half alive. Hope to God that you didn't emerge at night time and fight your way back to the Adventurer's Guild before you could save!
Looking through some old records today and found this. This was the original pitch document to Electronic Arts for The Bard's Tale.
Started Hello Tomorrow! Midcentury futurism, robots with screens for faces, 40s crooners on the soundtrack, and a whole world built out of ads and jingles.
I can appreciate the vibe.
Been getting questions about the companion in Clockwork Revolution. Rest assured: I LOATHE companions that point out the obvious because they think players are dumb. Ours only speaks when it knows something you couldn't or has something genuinely funny to say. Kept rare on purpose. Hoping by the end you say, 'I wish she talked more, not less.'
To give a little more context here, these screenshots are all of the exact same place and it's showing that your actions in the past don't just change the narrative, but they transform the present visually in a completely different way and one that is consistent with the narrative changes.
It sure looks like @CohhCarnage and his team are nailing the right vibe here.

We published the Neuromancer game at Interplay back in 1988. I always loved the inventive rich world that Gibson created.
My friend is producing this at Apple and I have a high regard for his taste so I'm very excited about this show when it debuts.
42 years ago, William Gibson introduced the world to Neuromancer. Now, the next chapter is loading.

Utterly corny but I like it. Little did I know the Blockbuster Sculptor's Cut would be worth a fortune.
ClayFighter…but everyone cuts a wrestling promo 🎤😂
13 fighters. 13 voices. Pure 90s clay chaos.
A little tribute to Interplay, Visual Concepts & one of the weirdest, funniest fighting games ever.
Bad Mr Frosty still rules ❄️

A lot of you have mentioned how much you appreciate Morgan being fully voiced.
There was internal debate about it in the beginning, but it always felt essential to me.
The emotion of a line lands so much harder when you hear the actor say it.
And yes there will be ongoing repercussions if you decide to take this route.... choices have consequences.
The guys at @Inxile have given me something awesome to show you! 👀
Clockwork Revolution, their upcoming narrative-heavy RPG (where choices make big changes) is coming out SOON! I can't wait to jump in myself. These guys are COOKING! Check out the vid!
I asked what you want in the next trailer and the biggest ask was true choice & consequence. So let me answer that one now:
Yes. Macro and micro reactivity, wildly different endings.
We made Wasteland 3. Check it out to see how deep we go. It's our DNA. Don't fear the camera move.
That's always the challenge because we have extremely deep choice and consequence all the way to the very end where there's a tremendous amount of different end states and we'd love to show the depth, but at the same time, not spoil anything.
Replying to @BrianFargo
Right now, I'm in the camp of not wanting the game get too overexposed. Loved what I saw today, but I've been sold since the last showing at the Dev Direct!
Grateful for all the positive feedback on the new Clockwork Revolution trailer.
What we've shown is just a fraction of what's in store, and as a creator I'm always thinking about what's next.
So RPG fans: what elements of the game would you like to see more of next time?
For everyone asking: Clockwork Revolution will be available on PC, Xbox, and Charles Babbage’s Analytical Engine.
We just make the games. We’ll leave the platform math to the punch cards.
Coming exclusively to XBOX and PC in 2027. 💚
Clockwork Revolution is XBOX console exclusive, coming in 2027.
