Happy to see our paper out in @ecotoxicology
Experiments were conducted during the @nansenlegacy cruises. The title of the paper says it all :)
New publication: "Arctic copepod copper sensitivity and comparison with Antarctic and temperate copepods" with Jan Heuschele, Khuong V. Dinh @khuongaquatic , Torben Lode & Katrine Borgå @BorgaK from @biovitenskap published in @ecotoxicology @SpringerNature

New publication!
Resulting from joining forces between our projects within @nansenlegacy on Arctic zooplankton #multistress and with #multicop on modulation of excess Cu by other stressors in coastal copepods. Also with Tjalling Jager & DEB-Tox.

Our “general public” video summarising the study can be viewed here 🤩
This study was funded by @kldep’s #Arktis2030 and a collaboration between @UniOslo, #norwegianorcasurvey, @UniNMBU, @NILU_now & @Havforskningen 🐳 – at Norway
To better understand marine mammal bioaccumulation of legacy and unregulated CP and dechloranes we correlated with legacy POPs in multiple species from the Norwegian coast.
Surprising lack of overall correlation to relative trophic position.
Open access in ES&T 👇
#Arktis2030
In this ES&T study, @CAndvik, @BorgaK and team at @biovitenskap @UniOslo investigate the intercorrelations of chlorinated parrafins, dechloranes, and legacy #PersistentOrganicPollutants in different marine mammal species. #bioaccumulation

still time to apply for this project!
Master projects:
We can offer two master projects in the next semesters:
Project 1: #Behaviour, regeneration, and #memory of #planaria under #multiple_stressors (1/2)
So excited to share this paper!
Silje Marie Kristiansen did a tremendous job, with long hours herding, counting and measuring thousands of springtails and eggs to understand
how thermal adaptation affects temperature-dependent pesticide toxicity
doi.org/10.1016/j.scitotenv.…
This is the third paper in Silje’s PhD, which is close to finalized, and part of our RCN project #MULTICLIM - Effects of climate change in a multiple stress multispecies perspective.
Great collaboration with Kees van Gestel @VUamsterdam
@forskningsradet @biovitenskap
Congratulations to Dr Sabrina Schultze on a successful and enjoyable PhD defense on coastal darkening and effects on contaminant uptake in mussels and tunicates! 🙌

It is so great when our group members have the opportunity to travel to other countries and labs!
Fascinating learning about all the cool work at @DFO_Pacific Institute of Ocean Sciences!🤩 Including metabolomics on our orca skin samples with the Brown Lab🐳 which will tell us about health, diet, stress & more!🌟 #norwegianorcasurvey @forskningsradet @biovitenskap @BorgaGroup
Thanks #SETACDublin! we’ve had an exciting week with inspiring science, colleagues and friends! Great to see especially the young researchers presenting and engaging!
