Jim Elliot, missionary to Ecuador's Auca Indians, writes in his journal the most quoted of his sayings: "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose."
Just over six years later, Elliot and four other missionaries would be killed while reaching the Huaorani people of Ecuador.

Grant, O God, that as your apostles, Simon and Jude were faithful and zealous in their mission, so may we with ardent devotion make known the love and mercy of our lord and savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Somehow, in God’s mysterious and gracious economy, we remain forever connected to what we give and to the people we bless. God sees it and forgets nothing. No cup of water given in Jesus’ name is wasted. No act of generosity done for His glory disappears. ref.ly/Mt10.42

After I converted to Christianity, my Muslim family asked me, “What would it take for you to come back to Islam?”
Let me explain: The truth is, it’s not about debating Jesus or the Trinity. This isn’t about Christianity at all, it’s about the foundation of the Islamic house and the foundation of the faith.
So here are 4 things I would need to see if I were to ever go back to Islam:
1. Show me that the Kaaba was actually built by Abraham and Ishmael, using pre-Quran sources, archaeology, Jewish texts. Right now, you have to rewrite the Torah to make it fit.
2. Show me Muhammad was an Ishmaelite. You can’t inherit a covenant if you’re not in the bloodline.
3. Show me clear prophetic continuity from the Old Testament to Muhammad. Not vague parallels, direct prophecy. If he’s the final messenger, the Bible should point straight to him.
4. Show me eyewitness accounts of Muhammad’s first revelation. Right now, it’s his wife convincing him after a traumatic cave experience, unlike other prophets who knew they were called.
As you can see, none of this is about Jesus actually. This is about Islam’s own claims. Because if the foundation is cracked, arguing about the furniture doesn’t matter.
No Kaaba link or Ishmaelite link.
No prophetic line or any verified calling.
I couldn't even examine the faith seriously with those questions unanswered.

Libertarians don't believe every transaction is voluntary. They believe consent distinguishes voluntary transactions from coercion.
Your landlord didn't create your need for shelter, and refusing to provide you with his property for free isn't coercion.
You need food to survive, too. Does that make farmers your oppressors?
Your argument isn't against exploitation. It's against the inconvenience of other people having rights.

Rep. Ro Khanna called for “an economic and political transformation” in France, embracing rioters’ grievances and legitimizing violence. Democrats are pushing a similar far-left agenda in America: higher taxes, weak border enforcement, costly energy policies. Remember that this November.

In 2009, two young Iranian women were sentenced to death by hanging for one reason: they had become Christians, and they refused to deny it.
Marziyeh Amirizadeh and Maryam Rostampour were born into Muslim families in Iran. After converting, they studied theology and returned home with a simple plan. Under cover of night, they put New Testaments into mailboxes across Tehran and other cities.
In less than three years they distributed about 20,000 Bibles and helped start secret house churches, mostly among women and young people.
Sharing the Christian faith is treated as a crime in Iran. Converts from Islam are not recognized as Christians. Only people born into recognized Christian minorities, such as Armenians and Assyrians, are officially allowed to practice.
Someone reported them. In March 2009 the IRGC arrested them. Officers asked if they were Christians. They said yes. Bibles were found in their apartment. They were charged with apostasy and promoting Christianity, and a judge sentenced them to death by hanging unless they returned to Islam.
They spent 259 days in Evin Prison in Tehran, a place known for torture and executions. They were interrogated for hours, threatened with hanging, and held in brutal conditions. They say they kept sharing their faith with other prisoners.
They did not know that Christians outside Iran had started a campaign for their release. Amnesty International and church groups pressed the case.
Pope Benedict XVI sent a letter to the Iranian government calling for them to
be freed. After nine months, the regime released them. They later left Iran.
Their account is told in the book
‘Captive in Iran’.
The poster is right about the 20,000 Bibles and the death sentence. It leaves out that there were two of them, and that they survived. The regime tried to silence them. It failed.
Iran still jails Christian converts for house-church meetings, prayer, baptism, and possessing Bibles, often under "national security" charges.
The law has not changed.

The hospital lobby has money for lawsuits but says Trump’s 340B accountability reforms cost too much.
Minnesota hospitals alone netted $1.31 BILLION from the program in 2024, savings meant to help vulnerable patients afford care.
340B should put patients first. Why is the hospital lobby fighting to keep the money flowing without reform?

You mean like how Democrats routinely demonize American entrepreneurs for becoming wealthy by producing things people voluntarily buy, then teach everyone else they're entitled to a share of that wealth?
Teach children to resent productive achievement, regard success as exploitation, and demand the fruits of someone else's labor.
Values or prejudice?
