"Build it and they will come..."
Here's a shot from the archive, when Sam & Doug grafted away building the studio BY HAND (and with tools and that). Time stamped at 22:17 on 22nd March 2017, the construction of the new studio feels like an absolute lifetime ago.
We're hosting a free open evening on Wed 15th September for local producers and artists to meet the team, check out the studio and have a general chin-wag.
This is a free event, however if you'd like to attend please email charlie[at]blank-studios.com
ps.. beers on us 👌
Keen to not always bore you with pics of Mics, thought I might recap the month some great tracks from Newcastle;
1) @RUTHLYON_ - Fast Food (it's groovy)
2) @wpprogramme - Buying Mood (it's chunky)
3) @Ceitidh_Mac - Dragon's Out (it's lovely)
4) @JangoFlash - My Mercedes (FATTY)
New MICS! 🎤😎 Big thanks to the lovely @gregopaul of @lanternstalk for selling us these lovely #Coles 4038s & the #electrovoice RE20. We're happy chappy's!
Btw, huge congrats to Hazel for being picked for the Mercury Award panel 👏👏👏 local heroes right there
Drum recording 🤤 Macca's fav.
We've still got some free dates in August & September. Give us a shout if you're interested!
Midweek shout-out to @MtMiseryband - these guys have grafted really hard over the last few years, culminating in their debut album ‘Once Home, No Longer’, which was recorded entirely in Blank Studios!
