Eddie Murphy Calls Out Jerry Seinfeld for Saying Bernie Mac Was the Best Comedian He’d Ever Seen And Couldn’t Believe He Put Him on Comedy’s Mount Rushmore Jerry Seinfeld: “You’re going to object, but I am a huge fan of Bernie Mac. I love Bernie Mac.” “I told you, I thought Bernie Mac was one of the funniest to me.” Eddie Murphy: “No, no, no. You didn’t say ‘one of.’ You said you thought he was the best that you’d ever seen do it.” “I said, I love Bernie, but the best? If you told anyone else that you thought he was the best, they would go, ‘Really?’” “We were doing our comic Mount Rushmore. We were saying, which comedians would be on Mount Rushmore?” “We were saying, like, Richard Pryor, Lenny Bruce… and then he goes, ‘Bernie Mac!’ And I’m like, what the fuck?” “And I love Bernie, but on Mount Rushmore? That’s…”

‘IF I GO WILL THEY MISS ME’ starring Danielle Brooks and J. Alphonse Nicholson is now available to watch at home on digital platforms. • Certified Fresh at 96% on Rotten Tomatoes • Shot in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles • The film follows a young boy navigating his relationship with his recently incarcerated father, using Greek mythology to do so

A 9-year-old boy was grabbed by a stranger, forced into a car, and driven away while selling water on the side of the road. But as the car sped through the streets, the terrified little boy looked out the window and began waving desperately for help. What happened next was unbelievable. It happened in Jacksonville, Florida. The boy had been selling bottled water near an intersection when a man suddenly forced him into a vehicle and took off. Shameika Dowell, who knew the boy and was helping supervise the children, witnessed what happened. She jumped into her own vehicle with her son and took off after the suspect, refusing to let the little boy disappear. As she followed the car through the streets, she could see the boy inside, frightened and crying for help. She kept chasing until the driver finally stopped, then moved to block his escape. But the boy was still trapped inside. Shameika rushed toward the vehicle and began kicking at the passenger door, determined to get it open. Other bystanders rushed over to see what was happening and began helping. They kept going until she finally managed to force the door open and pull the little boy to safety. Police arrested the suspected kidnapper, and the boy was reunited with his family. Despite everything he’d been through, he later said he still wanted to sell water so he could buy clothes for school. Shameika Dowell refused to look away when a little boy needed help. Her courage deserves to be recognized. 💙
