So @citywaterloo The street trees in Old Lakeshore are getting more dangerous. Hit in the face with a branch less than an inch from my eyes. It is dark early and street lights do not light up sidewalk. I know the city has a lot of canopy but can we make sure sidewalks are safe?
I usually love @StarbucksCanada but I think my Americano is missing the coffee part. Tastes terrible.. Expensive watery drink.

I think @citywaterloo should get rid of roadside leaf pickup. People are already piling leaves into bike lanes and roadways a month before pickup starts. Bag them, if you must, and extend yard waste pickup a few weeks.
1. Cars need to treat bikes like a vehicle. Don't pass me to turn right... I'm going faster than you think. Just wait a moment behind me.
2. Turn on your headlights ... raining, foggy, snowing and dusk and dawn. Can't see you from behind without taillights.

So @RegionWaterloo ...Do we still have garbage limits? I see all garbage getting picked up no matter how much is put out so was wondering if they were still in place.
Hey @citywaterloo .. getting hazardous to walk on sidewalks in old Lakeshore due to low tree branches. These are boulevard trees and residents not suppose to touch them. More than 200 cm would be good clearance.
So @AmazingRaceCBS Disappointed with latest episode. Crew should not get lost. They should have a phone and know where team is heading if they can't stay with them. Not fair to penalize team Angie and Danny.
I am so mad at @Sflecce right now. @wrdsb and the funding they received, which is a cut, have dealt a huge loss. There are a lot of good teachers whose lives are upended tonight. π₯΅ #CutsHurtKids #FireLecce
Not sure if @citywaterloo or @RegionWaterloo takes care of signal triggers on Glenridge at University but they don't work on my bicycle. I had to go and push the beg button. @Cycle_WR

Wow.
Hereβs Robert De Niroβs full statement about how Donald Trump should NEVER be president again:
βIβve spent a lot of time studying bad men.Β Iβve examined their characteristics, their mannerisms, the utter banality of their cruelty.
Yet thereβs something different about Donald Trump. When I look at him, I donβt see a bad man. Truly.
I see an evil one.
Over the years, Iβve met gangsters here and there. This guy tries to be one, but he canβt quite pull it off. Thereβs such a thing as βhonor among thieves.β Yes, even criminals usually have a sense of right and wrong.Β
Whether they do the right thing or not is a different story β but β they have a moral code, however warped.
Donald Trump does not. Heβs a wannabe tough guy with no morals or ethics. No sense of right or wrong. No regard forΒ anyoneΒ but himself β not the people he was supposed to lead and protect, not the people he does business with, not the people who follow him, blindly and loyally, not even the people who consider themselves his βfriends.β He has contempt for all of them.
We New Yorkers got to know him over the years that he poisoned the atmosphere and littered our city with monuments to his ego.Β We knew first hand that this was someone who should never be considered for leadership.Β We tried to warn the world in 2016.
The repercussions of his turbulent presidency divided America and rattled New York City beyond imagination.Β Remember how we were jolted by crisis in early 2020, as a virus swept the world.
We lived with Donald TrumpβsΒ bombastic behaviorΒ every day on the national stage, and we suffered as we saw our neighbors piling up inΒ body bags.
The man who was supposed to protect this country put it in peril, because of his recklessness and impulsiveness. It was like an abusive father ruling the family by fear and violent behavior.Β That was the consequence of New Yorkβs warning getting ignored. Next time, we know it will be worse.
Make no mistake: the twice-impeached, 4-time indicted Donald Trump is still a fool. But we canβt let our fellow Americans write him off like one. Evil thrives in the shadow of dismissive mockery, which is why we must take the danger of Donald Trump very seriously.
So today we issue another warning. From this place where Abraham Lincoln spoke β right here in the beating heart of New York β to the rest of America:
This is our last chance.
Democracy wonβt survive the return of a wannabe dictator.
And it wonβt overcome evil if we are divided.
So what do we do about it?Β I know Iβm preaching to the choir here.Β What weβre doing today is valuable, but we have to take today into tomorrow β take it outside these walls. Β We have to reach out to the half of our country who have ignored the hazards of Trump and, for whatever reason, support elevating him back into the White House.Β
Theyβre not stupid, and we must not condemn them for making a stupid choice.Β Our future doesnβt just depend on us. It depends on them.
Letβs reach out to Trumpβs followers with respect.Β Letβs not talk about βdemocracy.βΒ βDemocracyβ may be our holy grail, but to others it is just a word, a concept, and in their embrace of Trump, theyβve already turned their backs on it.Β
Letβs talk about right and wrong.Β Letβs talk about humanity.Β
Letβs talk about kindness.Β Security for our world.Β
Safety for our families.Β
Decency.Β
Letβs welcome them back.Β
We wonβt get them all, but we can get enough to end the nightmare of Trump, and fulfill the mission of this βStop Trump Summit.β
I appreciate that the roads are cleared promptly but could @citywaterloo plows be a little kinder? I have a sidewalk thus more shovelling and less space to put snow. The other side of the street does not and gets more sun but we get plowed first and thus the bulk of the snow.
And this may be one of the best videos @brittlestar has made. Brilliant!
