Handschuhsheim 🏆 Game 2 will be played TODAY! The @BergBaseball commissioners made the necessary arrangements, found the best umpires that will work for the $0 offered, and have collected today's line-ups. Here's how ⚫️&🟠will come out in a pivotal game 2 down in the Valley!
Game 1 of the @BergBaseball Handschuhsheim
🏆 is in the books, and Team ⚫️ takes home the W! Team 🟠 started hot, holding a 3-1 lead after the first, but couldn't hold on in the end. Game 2 is scheduled for Thursday unless the ⛈️ comes. Keep checking for updates prior to game 2!

Fall baseball hits its peak in the O-H-I-O, and we aren't talking the MLB. It's time for the epically legendary @BergBaseball Battle for the Handschuhsheim 🏆! Last year ⚫️ made it a 3 peat over 🟠 walking-off game 5. Who will make history in '26? Game 1 tomorrow in the Valley!
DIII ⚾️ gets 1 outside competition each fall, so you better empty the tank when you have it. @BergBaseball absolutely did! 19-4 in Game 1 with 6 2Bs, 3 3Bs, & 2 💣💣-and 6-3 in Game 2 with 8 straight 0's posted by Berg 💪! Now ⚾️ switches to ⛳️tomorrow for our annual golf outing!

A great day to be a @BergAthletics alum. Before today, Heidelberg's last win over Mount Union was Sept. 24, 1988. Congrats to everyone. Gonna be a great night at the Bear's Den and Clover Club.

I don’t know if I can explain the pride I have in my heart for this family. The coaches, athletic trainers, managers, admins, wives, kids and most importantly the PLAYERS believed in each other with unabashed certainty
This win was done by a FAMILY

THEY’VE DONE IT 😱
Heidelberg has upset Mount Union 37-34. It’s the 1st time the Student Princes have beaten the Purple Raiders since 1988

The OAC recognized 4 from @BergBaseball for their '26 work! Limke concludes his career with 3 straight All-OAC nods (2 at 3B, 1 at 2B), while Schneider makes it 2-2 at SS to start his. Walpole stood out for his work at 1B and pitching, while Bomer impressed in his 1st year at C!
That's a wrap on '26. @BergBaseball took off with a 6-1 record & ended 4-1 in the last 5. Lots of bumps between those stretches, but a ton of experience gained. Berg returns a solid group, and recruited heavily, adding to the youth movement in '27. Future is bright in the Valley!
Today's game for @BergBaseball vs John Carroll, originally scheduled for 1 PM at Progressive Field in Cleveland has sadly been relocated due to field conditions. Game time will remain at 1 PM, however, the game will now be played at Schweickert Field on the JUC campus.
