In our recent study with @GoldmanLab @kenividilaseris we used #EPRspectroscopy DEER/PELDOR to monitor Conformational Ensembles of membrane PPases under multiple inhibitors/conditions & detected gating assymetry. Great effort by @DrAnokhiShah @mayue3691 @_katiehardman @UK_EPR_NRF
Excited to share our latest preprint on @bioRxiv! We explored bisphosphonate inhibition on mPPase and, with @PliotasGroup, used DEER spectroscopy to study mPPase's conformational dynamics in solution. @GoldmanLab

Using Dongmei's and Alan's histidine knockout mutants and RIDME distance measurements we could show that of two dominant distances one is diminished in H3A and H9A each. However, H288A only leaves a short distance populations. H67A and H247 show no effect.
