My ratatouille rat is making me fight someone else also controlled by a ratatouille rat.
Me and the other guy have no beef, only the rats are enemies and we have no idea why. While punching with limbs that are no longer our own, we lock eyes with mutual grief and compassion forgiving whoever kills the other.
Happily following her lead into the kitchen while trying not to spill the drink. β Something simple. Pasta? Oh! With a bit of wine if you're in the mood for it. β
Once in the kitchen Sett placed the cocoa down; his tail unwrapping from her thigh, but keeping hold of her lasher as he moved towards the pantry. β Comfortable is a given when I'm with you, but full? I haven't eaten since breakfast. β
A dusting of pink graced his cheeks at her mention of the bedroom; lips curling into an embarrassed grin as he imagined the setting before being pulled back to reality by her next statement.
Hair bristled over his neck, pupils constricting, and his heart rate jumped. Thankfully she had the foresight to follow her words with gentler ones to reassure him.
β Phew. I got worried for a second there, baby. β A hand moved to take the hot chocolate so she wouldn't be left holding it for him any longer. β Do you want to cook or order in? β
A chuckle sounded from him as one of those rough hands retrieved the phone; eyes never once breaking away from her face.
β I could sit in absolute darkness and silence so long as you were there with me, my love. β
His tail, something he allowed to be much more free since their romance began, moved to wrap around her thigh as if to keep the closeness they shared.
β You are my world, Eve. Everything else is just the scenery in my eyes. Do you wanna relax in bed or cuddle on the couch? β
β Then my attention is what you will have.β His phone clattered to the floor as he dropped it and turned towards the love of his life.
