Currently obsessed with systems.
I’m using the Theory of Constraints to identify the main bottlenecks in everything that I do for my business on a regular business.
Slowly but surely.
Prioritize taste over technique.
You could have flawless transitions but if your selection is generic, safe, or not a fit for the room…you’ll lose me.
Currently working on 30 musical drafts in 30 days.
Today is draft 9.
2 hours ONLY per draft.
This is an exercise in not over producing a mediocre idea.
Not as easy as it seems.
Last night in the studio:
Ehh I dunno, it’s kinda sh*t.
The next morning:
Damn, this is pretty dope actually.
I've realized that the more creative freedom you want...
The more skills you need to successfully leverage and monetize that freedom.
Every new skill gives you more room to do things your way.
Stop using A.I. for just fast answers.
It's so much more than just Google.
I swear this prompt f*cked me up (in a good way!):
"What are some hard truths you think I don’t know about myself, that if learned, will improve my life dramatically? Be honest with me."
When I use A.I. I’m noticing that my job isn’t to prompt better…
It’s to curate better.
The more unique inputs you give it.
The more unique outputs you get back.
I’m always working on my digital skill stack.
What I’m studying right now:
- email flows
- funnel psychology
- vibe coding
Just enough to be dangerously good at connecting the dots.
The scariest part of pivoting in your 30s isn’t failure.
It’s what people will think if you “change directions again.”
The funny part?
Nobody’s thinking about you that much.
That's not sad, it's freeing.
“If I don’t make it by 30, I’m done”
Gotta be the biggest BS I used to tell myself in my 20’s.
Now that I’m 39, I’m realizing that the goal post never stops moving.
So I’m learning to enjoy the pursuit, not just the prize.
I always think of this line I heard in a Charlie Munger interview:
“If you want to fail, just be inconsistent.”
So the opposite is also true.
Solve for consistency and you’re already half-way there.
My favorite subscription I pay for...
Youtube Premium.
Hands down the most value out of any streaming service I have.
When it was all about the music, music, music…
I failed to realize it was also about the distribution, context, timing, and storytelling.
