Today, President of the @EU_Commission Ursula @vonderleyen mentioned ICEYE in her State of the Union address.
ICEYE started with two engineering students, one Finnish and one Polish, who met on an Erasmus exchange. An EU Horizon grant helped fund our first SAR satellite.

This is the BEST stream/recording of Ye performance on night 2 that I’ve seen. It’s clear, from the floor, and the crowd’s energy is undeniable! I believe my air sign sis sent this to me @GeminifromJerz 💞
While watching I noticed every song Ye guests performed we’re indeed picked by him! They all fit his superstar status & energy at this VERY MOMENT.

Patrick Collison and Mario Draghi just launched the Rhine Group to reverse Europe’s decline 😳
Their move is one of the most ambitious elite interventions in European tech and policy in years:
→ Europe produces only 4 of the world’s 50 largest tech companies and lags badly in the technologies that will define the next decades
→ Mario Draghi’s 2024 competitiveness report diagnoses an existential risk: without radical change, stagnation threatens defence, pensions, healthcare and the entire social model
→ Nearly 2 years later, only partial implementation of the recommendations; the hardest reforms (scale-ups, capital markets, governance) still lag while U.S. tariffs and Chinese competition intensify
→ Collison (Stripe) and Draghi recruit ~55 top operators, economists (including Nobel laureates), CEOs and policymakers into a private Chatham House group
→ Goal: raise eyes from daily politics toward a common destiny - compete, build and grow again as the world’s second-largest market
→ Turn evidence into pressure and actionable ideas outside the slow official EU machinery
Europe still has the assets.
Europe still has massive potential.
The key question is whether it has the urgency to act NOW.
This group believes it can.

AI is the most important technology of our time.
Europe wants to become the first AI Continent.
For advanced healthcare, for the transport sector and so much more.
European AI Gigafactories will provide the necessary computing power to make this possible.
Together with our Member States, we are funding their construction with up to €10 billion, which are set to unlock at least €20 billion in private investements across the EU.
Together, we are building our technological sovereignty.

Claiming Europe can become the "AI Continent" with a €10B public investment contrasts sharply with reality.
Big Tech alone has invested over $1 TRILLION in AI infrastructure since 2023 (around 100 times the EU's funding).
