APS customers to receive bill credit in November PHOENIX – Arizona Public Service (APS) will credit customers more than $33 million next month, saving the typical residential customer about $14 on their November bill. The savings will be applied automatically through the Environmental Benefits Surcharge on their bill. Customers do not need to take any action to receive these savings. The Arizona Corporation Commission approved APS’s application for the credit at its Open Meeting Oct. 7. The credit comes in part from the success of the Green Power Partners program that allows APS to sell renewable energy credits to participating businesses and return the revenue to customers. The funds generated by the Green Power Partners program help ensure customers benefit while APS continues renewable energy initiatives and programs to support Arizona's growing energy needs. For a typical residential customer using approximately 1,050 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per month, the total bill savings will be about $14 on their November bill. The exact amount will vary based on customers’ energy usage. The credit also applies to business customers, who could see savings of several hundred dollars or more on their November bills depending on their energy use. APS also offers bill assistance, energy-saving programs and flexible payment options for customers who need help managing their monthly costs. Visit aps.com/assistance to learn more

We’ve served Arizona for 140 years, in the towns and communities where we live. As Arizona experiences extraordinary growth, our responsibility to protect customers has never been more important. That’s why APS is ensuring that residential and small-business customers are not paying for data center power usage – and why we’re taking steps to make sure they won’t in the future. Unfortunately, recent @12News reporting makes false and misleading claims about data center costs. The simple truth is that our rate structures are working as designed to avoid cost shifts. With misleading claims circulating about whether data center growth is affecting energy bills, we know our customers want clear, accurate information. The simple fact is: APS is ensuring that residential and small-business customers are not paying for data center power usage. When a data center or manufacturer comes to Arizona, APS is requiring that they pay for the infrastructure and power needed to serve them. Done right, new growth doesn’t threaten affordability for Arizona families and businesses. It helps protect it. Learn more about our Pledge for Responsible Energy Growth: aps.com/pledge

Arizona summers don't leave room for guesswork. That's why our pledge is simple: we won't connect new large energy users faster than the grid can reliably support them. Your family's reliability comes first. Always.

Assistance Available for Middle Income Families to Pay APS Bills Power AZ assistance is available for a limited time Arizonans earning average wages may be eligible for as much as $640 or more in assistance to pay their Arizona Public Service (APS) bills through a state program called Power AZ, while funding lasts. The temporary program is an initiative from Gov. Katie Hobbs administered by the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES). It is unique because most bill-assistance programs are available only to families who are earning less than average income, while Power AZ is available to families earning median wages. Who is eligible for Power AZ? Single people living alone can earn about $4,890 a month and still qualify for assistance under the state’s guidelines, while a family of four with monthly income of about $9,400 can qualify. Power AZ is designed for people who historically have not been able to take advantage of such programs and can help those who are experiencing new, unexpected hardships,” said Danielle Evans, Chief Customer Officer for APS. “Many people may not realize they meet the eligibility requirements because they think they earn too much for bill assistance, but those are precisely the customers this program was created for.” The benefit amount is as much as $640 per year for those who qualify. People facing a crisis may be eligible for an additional $500 in one-time support. The funds are available for a limited time, and may expire in September. Customers can apply for Power AZ at the DES website. The online application also automatically screens eligibility for the long-standing Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) that is designed to help households with income at or below 60% of the state median income, or 150% of federal poverty guidelines. Applications will be reviewed for eligibility in either program. Customers can only get assistance through one of the programs in a 12-month period. APS Customer Assistance and Support In addition to Power AZ, APS offers customers a variety of ways to manage their bills: Energy Support Program: Customers may qualify for monthly discounts of up to 25% or 60% on their energy bills based on income.  Visitaps.com/assist. Crisis Bill Assistance: Customers facing temporary financial hardships, like a sudden reduction in income or unplanned major expense, may qualify for up to $1,000 per year in bill assistance based on income. This support is available through APS and our nonprofit partners. Customers can start the process by visiting aps.com/assistance or calling APS. APS CARE (Crisis Assistance Relief Effort): Customers can receive up to $500 in bill assistance in partnership with The Salvation Army, regardless of income. Visit aps.com/care. Flexible payment arrangements: An option for those who need more time to pay their balance. Visit aps.com/arrangement. Preferred due dates are available for customers to select the date they’d prefer to pay their bill each month, aligning better with their schedule. Safety Net: Friends and family can be designated to receive a copy of a customer’s bill to keep an eye on the account and ensure their loved one does not fall behind on payments. Enrollment is available through the customer’s online account or by phone. Visit aps.com/safetynet. Guest Roles: Customers can authorize someone they trust to have access to or help manage their APS account online to understand how they are using energy, manage their rate plan and make sure they don’t miss any payments. This can be set up through the customer’s APS.com account dashboard. Budget Billing can help take out the seasonal swings of summer billing by leveling payments throughout the year. This makes it easy for customers to know what their APS bill will be every month. Visit aps.com/budgetbilling.

APS CEO Reaffirms Customer Protections in Pledge for Responsible Energy Growth Arizona Public Service (APS) President and CEO Ted Geisler outlined APS’s Pledge for Responsible Energy Growth this week as part of broader remarks shared with Arizona community leaders gathered for the 2026 League of Arizona Cities & Towns Conference. The pledge reaffirms APS’s longstanding principles for protecting customers while serving new companies and industries investing in Arizona. “Growth should pay for growth. It's that simple. When a data center or manufacturer comes to Arizona, they pay the cost of the infrastructure needed to serve them, and those investments help to cover shared grid costs that existing customers would otherwise carry,” said Ted Geisler. “Done right, new growth doesn't threaten affordability for Arizona families and businesses. It helps protect it.” The APS Pledge for Responsible Energy Growth is grounded in three foundational principles: Safeguarding Reliability: APS will not connect new extra-large customers to the grid faster than it can reliably support. Every extra-large customer agreement is designed with built-in safeguards to protect other customers, including operational and contractual protections that support sufficient, reliable operation and help APS to manage the energy grid during periods of peak demand. Protecting Customer Rates: New extra-large energy users will pay the costs associated with serving their energy needs and growth, including investments and upgrades in generation, transmission, distribution and the grid. Those costs and financial risks will not be shifted to residential and business customers. Furthermore, as extra-large customers fund upgrades needed to serve their growth, their investments will also help to cover shared infrastructure costs that otherwise would be paid by existing customers. Preserving Capacity: Before committing to serve new extra-large customers, APS will preserve enough capacity to meet the needs of Arizona’s current and future homes, small and larger businesses, schools, hospitals, and communities. Connecting and serving residential and business customers will remain our company’s top priority. “These three principles aren't aspirations. They're standards we build into our agreements with extra-large customers,” Geisler continued. “Arizonans should be able to welcome the jobs, investment and opportunity coming to our state with confidence that their energy needs come first and their rates are protected. That's our pledge.” Get more information at aps.com/pledge

We’re grateful to our customers for their patience as our crews responded to last night’s storms across the metro Phoenix area. 💛 At the peak of the storm around 11 p.m., approximately 12,000 customers were without power. Our crews responded right away and restored service to most affected customers in less than two hours. The remaining outages were restored throughout the morning. Summer storm season is not over. While we work around the clock to provide reliable service no matter what Mother Nature brings, outages can still happen. If your power does go out, visit aps.com/outagecenter for map, restoration times and safety information, all in one place.

This power line came down with enough force to cut a street sign in half — a striking reminder of why it's important to treat every downed power line with caution. Even if a line isn’t sparking, making noise or appears to be inactive, always assume it is energized. If you see a downed power line: ⚠️Stay at least 100 feet away and keep others away. 📞 Call 911 first, then call APS at (602) 258-5483 in metro Phoenix or (800) 253-9408 in other areas. 🚫 Never touch, move or drive over a downed power line. Your safety comes first. Give damaged electrical equipment and our crews plenty of space to work.

After several days of severe storms, we’re grateful to our customers for their patience and our employees for their work behind the scenes as we restored power. Strong storms Sunday and Monday night damaged more than 100 poles across central and southwest Arizona. At the height of Sunday night’s storms, approximately 23,000 customers were without power. All customers impacted by the storm have service as of Wednesday. Teams worked around the clock to restore service safely and as quickly as possible. We know outages can disrupt your day and create added challenges, especially during the heat. Thank you for your understanding as our teams worked to get the lights back on. 💛

We know being without power is especially challenging during the summer heat, and we appreciate the patience of customers who are still waiting for service to be restored. Since Sunday's storms, APS crews have been working around the clock to bring power back, and they'll keep going until every customer affected has power restored. On Sunday, Aug. 9, a strong storm moved through the Phoenix metro area. More storms and outages followed late last night and into this morning. Approximately 23,000 customers have been impacted by the storms with approximately 250 remaining without power. While weather conditions have improved, additional storm activity is possible later today. As repairs continue, please give our crews plenty of room to work. For your safety, if you see downed power lines, please stay away, call 911, then call APS at 602-371-7171 (metro Phoenix) or 800-253-9405 (other areas). And secure outdoor items such as umbrellas, trampolines and portable awnings that could become airborne and cause outages in strong winds. Thank you for your patience and support as APS crews continue storm restoration efforts across our service territory. Since Sunday night, our teams have been tracking the monsoon, repairing damage, restoring power, distributing ice to impacted customers and answering customer questions. More than 23,000 customers lost power at the height of the storm. By 8:45 p.m. on Monday, August 10, fewer than 1,800 remain without service, and crews continue working through tonight to restore power. With another round of storms in the forecast, we encourage customers to secure patio furniture, umbrellas, trash cans and other loose outdoor items that could become airborne in strong winds and cause damage or additional outages. Residential customers impacted by the extended outage may be eligible for reimbursement for up to 40 pounds of bagged ice or 20 pounds of dry ice. Learn more at aps.com/icereimbursement. As repairs continue, please stay clear of downed power lines and damaged electrical equipment, and give crews room to work safely. If you see a downed power line, stay away, call 911, and then contact APS. For the latest restoration updates, outage information, and safety resources, visit the aps.com/outagecenter.
