Our activists took this risk because they refuse to ignore millions of hens suffering because of Kroger’s broken cage-free promise.
Kroger could have chosen to do what’s right. Instead, they had us arrested.
We will not let this silence the suffering of animals confined to cages.

Just one US company confines over 40 million hens in cages -- more than all animals caged in the UK.
It sells eggs under brands you know -- Eggland's Best, Walmart Great Value, Kroger -- but you've likely never heard of it.
Its name is Cal-Maine. And it just released its first "Impact Report," full of glossy images of happy people and happy hens on cage-free farms.
Buried on page 20 of that report: at least 77.5% of its eggs still come from hens confined in battery cages.
The report contains no images of those cages. Cal-Maine apparently knows its core business is not fit for public consumption.
