The booth is open til 9 pm tonight, then only one more day this year. Sunday’s the last day of the State Fair, and the Biscuit Booth will be open from 10 am to 9 pm. Don’t miss your last chance!

We mourn for the people of France. Their country is lost - conquered by the Islamists. All we can do now is pray for them and pray that some sort of French Resistance rises up to repel the invaders who were welcomed by the French government into their land. And Americans must pay heed to what is happening across Western Europe. Because the Islamists are about to rise up in our nation, too.

I didn’t have to run a poll. I already know what you, the People, have on your minds. That’s because as Ag and Commerce Commissioner, I remain in constant communication with the real people of this State every single day. I’ve talked it over with you at the fish house. ✔️ Stand up for the working people of Mississippi. ✔️ Restore the vote that was stolen from you. ✔️ Eliminate property taxes on your home. ✔️ Cut your car tags in half. ✔️ Fix PERS. ✔️ Achieve excellence in education for every Mississippi child. ✔️ Support our law enforcement, put thugs in prison and restore our safe communities. ✔️ Take a stand for real people and real jobs, not the soul-less robots of “artificial intelligence.” ✔️ Enact pro-family policies. ✔️ Make Mississippi healthy again. All these things have been in my plan for months, and I’m still the only candidate for Governor with an actual plan to help the People of Mississippi accomplish this for our brighter future. Read my Conservative Common Sense plan at andygipson.com/common-sense-… Vote for the People. Vote for Conservative Common Sense. Vote Andy Gipson, August 3rd, 2027.

Fuel Tax Relief Update. For everyone pumping regular gasoline and diesel fuel, the commuters, truckers, working people of Mississippi, even retired folks living on a fixed income, we still have received zero fuel tax relief at the pump. Most of our neighboring states have taken action to suspend the state portion of the fuel tax. Even Ohio suspended their gas tax. Mississippi has not. We’re all paying 24 cents per gallon in state tax. President Trump has approved some relief at the federal level. Yesterday the IRS released guidance on off-road, red-dyed diesel, saying the agency will not enforce the penalties for use of off-road, red-dyed diesel on highways during a relief period from October 1st to December 31st. That’s good news at the federal level. Farmers, truckers and others who can access red-dyed diesel are legally able to operate on roads and highways in Mississippi through year-end. But petroleum companies are continuing to collect the state portion of fuel tax at 24 cents per gallon. It adds up. So far, the IRS has stopped short of eliminating the underlying federal excise tax on dyed diesel as they explore ways to do that. This means the tax may simply be deferred, not eliminated. The fact is, most of our folks in Mississippi will never run across red-dyed diesel fuel. That’s why I continue to call on our state leaders and legislators to provide state fuel tax relief for all Mississippians. Mississippi isn’t a broke state. Surely the State of Mississippi can afford to pause state fuel tax collections through the end of the year and let the taxpayers keep just a little of their own money. Without additional relief, Mississippians will remain at a competitive disadvantage to other states, and there may well be many Mississippi trucks and vehicles whose owners simply won’t be able to afford to fill up again. I’m glad to stand alone. Glad to be the only elected official speaking up for the working people of this State. I’m used to it. It makes the big money people mad. But I’m not going to stop, because I’m your voice. Suspend the gas tax. Call in the Legislature. Pass special stop-gap measures for projects. Whatever it takes to get the People some relief here. Remember, the People pay all the bills of this State. The People are supposed to be the boss. Andy Gipson October 15, 2026

I’m fighting for you. Gipson Pushes Back Against Proposed State Environmental Land and Water Regulations JACKSON, Miss. – In response to state environmental regulators’ proposed new sweeping land and water use regulations that would affect landowners’ rights, Ag Commissioner Andy Gipson has submitted comments to the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) opposing the new regulations. A copy of the Commissioner’s comments is available here: agnet.mdac.ms.gov/agManage/u… The MDEQ has proposed a series of new “Waters of the State” regulations and permits, now known as the State Water Alteration Program (SWAP), that would extend state environmental regulatory reach to include even temporary water streams and ditches, such as intermittent or ephemeral streams. These are proposed state regulations similar to those previously attempted by the federal EPA under its years-long “Waters of the United States” (WOTUS) Clean Water Act rules struck down by the United States Supreme Court in the 2023 Sackett decision. MDEQ’s proposed new regulatory SWAP system can be reviewed at mdeq.ms.gov/wots/ “At a time when Mississippi landowners, farmers and ranchers have been celebrating the rollback of federal EPA WOTUS rules since the Sackett decision, it was surprising to me that our state DEQ regulators in Mississippi are proposing extensive new land and water use regulations under a Waters of the State style SWAP program,” said Gipson. “I became aware of this issue in early 2026 after talking to Mississippi landowners, economic developers and others in the construction industry, and I was compelled to weigh in on the side of less regulations and more landowner rights.” Gipson continued, “Equally concerning is that our surrounding states have not attempted to impose new state regulations. As my comments pointed out, following the Sackett decision, states like Tennessee have voted to rollback their similar state regulations. I believe Mississippi should take the approach of less regulation, not more, so that Mississippi doesn’t find ourselves at a competitive disadvantage, either in terms of economic development or regulatory structure, compared to our surrounding states. Mississippi landowners deserve more freedom, not less.” The deadline for public comment on the new waters of the state SWAP rules was last week. Gipson submitted his comments on October 5, calling on the MDEQ to resist the temptation to adopt the new environmental regulations. ###

Results! For our #2A supporters, you remember back on August 21st I requested on your behalf an Attorney General’s opinion that under the Texas ruling, the Form 4 was no longer a requirement for silencers and certain other weapons. Today I am pleased to see our Attorney General agree that in Mississippi the Form 4 is not required, just optional. Now we need to get the law amended permanently! I’ll always look out for your rights as a law abiding gun owner!
