Hey, @elonmusk, I’ll represent you in this matter. When the Government signals its intentions ahead of time in an enforcement matter, as it often does, it just gets my back up.
Agriculture Commissioner Andy Gipson to Chair MDEQ Permit Board Evidentiary Hearing Regarding MZX Southaven Power Plant Connected to Data Center Who: Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson What: Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality Permit Board Evidentiary Hearing When: Monday, November 9, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Where: Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality Conference Room; 515 E Amite Street, Jackson, Mississippi JACKSON, Miss. – Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson will chair the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) Permit Board’s evidentiary hearing involving MZX, LLC, related to construction of a power plant in Southaven to provide electricity to data centers. “I believe this is the first evidentiary hearing ever by the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality involving a data center related power plant. Mississippians have questions and I believe they deserve answers, and I intend to get them,” said Commissioner Gipson. I respect our Ag Commissioner, but the chairman of a Government tribunal should never be rattling swords in public about a matter that is to appear before the tribunal. I’ll cheerfully represent any party against the Government when it announces in advance what it intends to do.

Because what else do you do if you’re Trump and you’ve caused your party the loss of both chambers of Congress? You double down and hire Stephen Miller as Chief of Staff. We will see in the final two months of a lame duck Congress whether any Republican still has a backbone.

One bright spot in the election returns, in a non-binding measure, Idaho voters chose the Winchester 1873 as the state gun.

The right fringe is pushing the narrative that the GOP got crushed because it was not sufficiently doing Trump’s bidding. Wrong. The GOP lost everywhere because Trump cowed Republicans so badly that none was willing to say the emperor had no clothes. Voters just said so.

Could not agree more. Radio baseball is the soundtrack of summer nights.
Respect to @DavidPSamson but he would be wrong; listening to baseball on the radio outside of being there is the only way to consume baseball. The sounds, the storytelling, the built up tension, the excitement, the disappointment; it's all there. It's baseball at its finest.

The requirements that there be two attesting witnesses to a will, that it be signed by them in the presence of the testator, and that be evidenced by the affixation of their signatures to the document, are indispensable safeguards of the integrity of testamentary documents. 1/
