What is it, and why could it be a gem worth HODLing?
In a nutshell, here are the primary use cases of the $0G token:
-> Gas - $0G is the gas token used to pay for transaction fees on the network.
-> Security & Staking - $0G is staked by validators and users to secure the network via the PoS consensus mechanism.
-> Storage - $0G is the payment medium for storing and retrieving AI datasets, model weights, and so forth.
-> AI Compute Marketplace - $0G is used to buy and access decentralized GPU compute resources. Bonus: users who stake $0G earn passive compute credits.
-> Data Availability Services - $0G is used by L2s, subnets and data markets to settle, verify and store data.
-> Governance - $0G HODLers can vote on proposals, e.g. protocol upgrades, and more.
According to @CoinMarketCap, at the time of writing, $0G is trading at $0.23 with a relatively short-to-medium-sized market cap of $138M. As it stands, $0G is down 96% from its ATH of $7.31.
Despite the roughest market conditions, @0G_Labs has continued BUIDLing and expanding its ecosystem.
With demand for decentralized AI infrastructure only expected to grow, we believe $0G could be one of the more interesting players to keep a close eye on. 👀
