Thank you to Aoife for their lovely design last year! I look forward to seeing what you create this year.
Water privatisation has been a disaster. I’m glad to see the Prime Minister urging officials to come up with more radical options for Thames Water.
We need to bring water into public ownership urgently, and this Government must properly invest in our infrastructure.

This is complete and utter rubbish! Please stop spreading total fabrications. And FWIW my recent “platforms” in the media - Newsnight and Any Questions last week - were put in the diary weeks ago and had nothing to do with the vote at conference
EXCLUSIVE: Caroline Lucas and Adrian Ramsay plotting vote of no confidence against Zack Polanski.
Former Green Party leader Caroline Lucas and Green MP Adrian Ramsay are plotting a vote of no confidence against current leader Zack Polanski in the coming weeks, according to two sources close to the matter.
It is unclear whether Lucas has any interest in returning as leader herself, but she is actively supporting Ramsay’s effort to take control of the party. Sources say Lucas has been privately rallying influential figures within the Greens to back a challenge against Polanski.
There is concern among those involved that further delay could allow deputy leader Mothin Ali and his supporters to strike first. As part of the campaign to remove Polanski, Lucas is understood to have asked contacts in the media to platform her.
I was delighted to be in Bungay to celebrate the extension and refurbishment of Bungay Medical Practice.
NHS Norfolk and Suffolk Integrated Care Board, Bungay Medical Practice, and East Suffolk Council have worked tirelessly in recent years to transform the practice into a modern, accessible, and sustainable healthcare environment for patients, staff, and the wider community.
It’s a real asset for Bungay and the surrounding villages, giving local people the quality care close to home that they deserve.
The People’s Emergency Briefing is a powerful reminder of the urgency of the nature emergency, biodiversity loss and climate change. Over the last few months, communities up and down the country have put on screenings.
I was honoured to be invited by Stradbroke and Harleston to attend both of their screenings, and to join them for a discussion on the film and my work in Parliament fighting for these issues.
Great to visit Fressingfield Shed to see the great work they do bringing people together. It’s a place to learn new skills, have a chat and share experience, and a brilliant example of a community initiative.
These spaces were traditionally called Men's Sheds, but Fressingfield uses a different name. I met women and men of different ages who really value what it brings to the community.
Projects like this keep residents connected, which is so important for wellbeing and mental health. Thank you to everyone who volunteers their time to make it happen, and to all the members who made me so welcome.
To be clear, I have no intention of leaving the Green Party. I am urgently working with colleagues who share my concerns about recent developments to get the party back on track.
I have been a party member for nearly thirty years, was elected as a Green councillor in my twenties, have served as Deputy Leader and Co-Leader and was proud to be elected as an MP for the Green Party in 2024.
I am proud to represent the views of the vast majority of party members and my constituents in Parliament as a strong advocate for the Green Party's core purpose: protecting and restoring the natural environment in the wake of major threats to society from environmental decline.
The need to push these core Green issues up the political agenda has never been greater.
Former Green Leader Suggests Could Quit Party Over 'Zionism Is Racism' Motion

Three years on, we all remember the horrific events of October 7 and the wave of destruction in Gaza that has followed it.
I reiterate my call for an end to the violence, for peace and safety for both Israelis and Palestinians.

“The loss of biodiversity and ecosystem collapse is a threat to our national security. This is central to what Greens are campaigning around across the country.”

Maybe it's time to admit that conference isn't a democratic way of making policy. Decisions are made by a tiny, self selecting fraction of the membership with the time, money and flexibility to spend an entire weekend at conference. 1/4

Excl: My interview with former Green Party co-leader, Adrian Ramsay at the end of the party's conference:
- Said he is "deeply upset" that Zionism is Racism passed (Ramsay urged members to vote against)
- He personally intends to uphold the policies he ran on in the 2024 Green manifesto which he was elected on (e.g. two-state solution).
- Calls for reform to party democracy - said conference should be run under a delegate system in future
- Said the Greens should put environment "further up the agenda" in order to deal with the 'Burnham bounce'

I am deeply saddened the ‘Zionism is Racism’ motion has passed. It doesn't reflect Green principles or my own view.
The Green Party has long supported the principle of self-determination, and I stand by our 2024 manifesto commitment of equal rights of Israelis and Palestinians.
In Parliament I will continue to stand up for the people of Gaza and against the war crimes and illegal occupation.
The breakdown of our ecosystems is a national security threat. We must put restoring nature at the heart of government decision-making.
So I'm delighted that @TheGreenParty members backed my conference motion on the need for a Nature, Biodiversity and Security Act.

We appreciate the support of two fantastic champions for animals in Parliament, @natalieben and @AdrianRamsay, both very actively holding government to account to ban cruel pig and chicken cages, and strengthen many other laws to better protect animals 🐾 🐷
