An Incredibly Important report that highlights that @bcedplan and all Districts must do better! Catch interviews with @TracyCareQ and @NicoleKaler1 on CBC yesterday morning Early Edition & this afternoon @bctoday for more information. #AdvoCon2022 #StopExcludingKids!
This year’s Exclusion Tracker report shows BC children and youth with disabilities missed thousands of days of school, were left without support or instruction, and more. Read the report here #bced bcedaccess.com/2022/08/29/di…
Cost taxpayers over $35,000...This is a colossal waste of money. Burnaby can no longer claim that they have no funds for kids w/disabilities if they waste that on trips to bring in other students - who are not disabled. I said what I said.

Integral information for ADHD'ers.
Implementing strategies to support executive function *also requires executive function.* So as lovely as it is to suggest making lists to someone with ADHD, they’ve probably made lists. They’ve lost them. Or they weren’t sure how to prioritize them.  🧵 (1/3)

The #ADHD tax is the financial penalties those with ADHD get hit with for...well, for having ADHD. It's the extra money we end up spending on late fees, rush shipping fees, impulse buys, replacing lost things, even ADHD treatment itself. what have you paid the #ADHDtax on?

As a person with ADHD (or kin of someone with ADHD), what are 3 things you would change in our current systems in BC, Canada, so that access to supports and services we need to thrive were more accessible?
