All the while, Demuth is one of the 86% of elected Minnesota Republicans who support Trump’s agenda to gut funding for Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, and Social Security to hand out trillions in tax breaks to big corporations and the ultra-wealthy.
Conservative governor candidate Lisa Demuth doubled down on her plan to cut a billion dollars from programs Minnesotans rely on.
Because, of course, she did.
There are 14 days until Election Day, and Lisa Demuth STIll won't answer what Minnesotans deserve to know: What programs is she planning to cut, and how will this affect Minnesotans who are already struggling to afford skyrocketing healthcare, gas, and grocery costs?
Schutz wouldn't commit to defending access to healthcare. He has no vision for protecting Minnesotans from the rising costs that are preventing our neighbors from getting the care they need.
Schutz also represented health insurers that denied doctor-approved care, then donated to elected officials who voted to let those same insurers deny coverage for pre-existing conditions and drop people when they get sick.
The AG should protect consumers. Schutz’s investment choices raise concerns. According to Schutz’s Economic Interest Statement to the Campaign Finance Board, Schutz owns at least $100,000 in stock in big pharma companies that rip off Minnesotans seeking insulin and other meds.
