I love when I'm in a discussion about what fighting game boss theme goes the hardest. It's literally been about 30 years since The Battle Master and no one, and I do mean NO ONE, has outdone the sheer menace and bombast of Maria Nichols

Whenever a company effectively tells you "we're going to remove or tone down these things you like in order to make the game more appealing to other people" the only answer is to tell them "If I'm not worth trying to appeal to then you're not getting my money"

With all the talk about Goku and Saitama, I figured I'd throw in.
The power scaling argument isn't really important to me. Where I think Death Battle failed was in understanding the narrative function of the Caped Baldy.
Saitama doesn't win his fights "because he's the strongest," even if he is. Saitama's victories aren't the point of his story. They're the premise that makes his story possible.
Interestingly, I'm beginning a story about a guy very similar to Saitama.
An old guy. A super guy. You might even say he's a...Super Old Guy.
So if you want to read about how an impossibly powerful man handles being the strongest when he's old, you should absolutely check out my comic book!
