Extremely great full and excited about this opportunity of getting to play for SouthWest Mississippi Community College, and continuing my education as well. Thank you to all the coaches that helped me get here!!!

Alix Franklin went from barely seeing the field as a freshman to Second-Team All-SEC as a sophomore.
Now she’s added 15 pounds, wants her power back and is helping shape LSU softball’s next chapter.

LSU softball's Alix Franklin is never all that far away from her hometown of St. Amant.
Sure, LSU's campus is only a half-hour drive to her old high school, but even with the homegrown star having moved on to the bigger stage at the college level, she frequently comes home.

The atmosphere was electric and nerve-racking for a yet another high-profile matchup in one of Louisiana’s best rivalries, this time with notably high stakes.
And St. Amant pounced on early miscues and opportunities and powered past East Ascension, 8-2, for a fourth straight state tournament trip.
